Second Floor Common Room, Saturday Morning
Local Earth news wasn't really all that important to Ender. He played no part in it, and had no reason or opportunity to interfere. Still, after checking the local news feeds last night, he found himself a little curious as to what was happening in the Middle East right now. (Maybe a little part of him felt like he owed it to Alai, or maybe it really was just plain curiosity.)
So morning found him sitting out in the common room with one of Karla's books at his side, watching BBC News's coverage of the situation in Egypt. Between it and Al Jazeera, he felt like he was getting a decent enough picture.
He was trying to remember what they'd learned about this before. Battle School had not been heavy on the political history of the world, and Ender hadn't previously taken the time to request info back home on the outcome of the Middle Eastern troubles in this time.
Ah, well. If he got bored, he could always pick up the book and start sniffing around in Blood history from a few millenia ago, instead.

But he could make do with cereal upon seeing someone he knew in the room. "Hey."

Tony glanced over at the cereal. "Works for me," he said going to grab himself some. "What are you watching?"

As one could tell by all the fire.

This could be colored by the fact that he was now dead and could do no wrong in Tony's eyes, but...

Ender would have to put his thoughts on the topic of why people thought about the dead in such a one-sided way in the fridge. For now.

"Obidiah Stane. He's running it for me until I'm eighteen apparently."

"And you don't like what he's doing with the place."

"Everyone seems--I don't know. Worried? No one even looked up when I was there and they have all these new security guards."
