Fifth Floor Common Room; Sunday Evening [ 01/30 ].

Ariel was hungry, but Ariel was also lazy, and, since she really shouldn't be cooking anyway, she was glad she was discovering the joy that was toaster-ready French Toast.

She only even burned a few of them! And that could easily be solved by dousing them in plenty of maple syrup. A little bit of orange juice to wash it down, and Ariel was feeling like she had herself a plate full of culinary, gourmet awesomeness! Now to just find a comfortable spot on the couch, kick her feet up on the coffee table, and see if there was anything good on television to watch while she had her shut up totally healthy dinner.

[[ open common room is open and inspired by the fact that my awesome roommate made me nummy french toast for dinner!!! Roommate, you are winrar. ]]

"One piece," Bruce said. "And that's just to see if you're telling the truth about the taste."

"Are you warning me, or trying to get me to take one?" Bruce asked.

"I can't be positive with you," Bruce said. "But I'll take one of the burnt ones. It'll be the better test, and it'll leave you with the best ones since you're the one who wanted them."

"I try," Bruce said, taking one of the burnt sticks. "That really is a lot of syrup."

"I'd consider arguing that point, but I've never used it. And I already have issues with one of the machines in this room," Bruce said.

After taking a bite of the French toast stick, Bruce said, "I wouldn't worry about it too much. Even the burnt one isn't too bad."

"I think I'll leave the rest to you," Bruce said. "I wouldn't want to take away too much of your inevitable sugar rush."

"I'm sure there are some times when you're a little less hyper," Bruce said. "I can't recall any, though."

"What exactly were you sulking about?" Bruce asked.

"Cooking," Bruce said, well aware of the fact that they were in public and there could be squirrels listening in. "You're a very good cook, you know."

"In that kind of cooking, there weren't any burnt ones," Bruce said encouragingly.

"Have you ever known me to be manipulative like that?" Bruce asked.

Okay, maybe. A little.
