After meeting Leander earlier in the day, Percy wasn't about to stick around his room and wait for more kids to find him. He'd herded Leander (and dragged Jason along with them since he was the other dad) down to the pool since any kid of his probably liked the water.

Once down there, he'd taken the time to call Luke and both invited him and told him to find Nico since it wasn't like Percy could snap a note up to Ethan's mother. Sure, neither Luke or Nico were big fans of the water but wasn't a pool supposed to be a good way to entertain kids so their parents could spend time beating their heads into the walls or something?"

Percy wasn't sure but being around the water relaxed him enough that he either thought he could deal with the horde of demigod kids or he could make Jason or Nico or Luke deal with it because he had the water as backup. One or the other.

"Hey, I'm not disagreeing with you there," Luke said, putting up his hands. "I still have a hard time believing it, even after listening to that kid tell me about their make out sessions."

"Gross." Nico didn't need to know that. "I don't need to know that. Who tells people that?"

"That kid does," Luke said, pointing his thumb back over at Leander. "I'm scarred for life, I swear."

"Must be Percy's influence," Nico decided, thinking that would explain it, rather than the negative aspects of Jason and Percy's natures combined. "JJ's actually kind of cool."

"Here I was thinking it was Jason's influence," Luke said. Percy sooooooooo wasn't the sharing type. "JJ your kid with Jason?"

"Yeah. She's the dark-haired one," he said, pointing out her pigtails. "Poor kid, she got my eyes." No little kid deserved manic eyes, no matter how sweet.

"If it makes you feel any better, Anna's got Percy's brains and demeanor," Luke told him. "I still like her though. She's sweet."

The thought of Luke as a dad was kind of killing Nico a little. "Weird to think any of us would ever live long enough to end up with someone and have kids. And in so many bizarre realities."

"Yeah, it is weird," Luke said, frowning a little at how unrealistic that was and how it was being flaunted in front of them. "Percy and Jason's kid didn't recognize me."

He'd soon find out that JJ didn't know him either, which would make him even more depressed.

Amazing how he hadn't clued in to the fact that Nico'd never really known a living version of Luke prior to meeting him. Nico was glad for it, though. Things were hard enough.

"I'd be glad for them not to recognize me. Save me the brain breaking."

Well Luke didn't expect every demigod to know him. He just sort of thought that at least a child stemmed from Fandom relationships would.

"I guess so," Luke said. "I like the kids and all, but I kind of can't wait for this to be over."

"How fast do you think it'll get repressed?" Nico wondered. He'd done pretty well with forgetting the whole weekend as a girl until people brought it up.

"For me? Pretty freaking fast. I'm like an expert on the whole repression thing." And look how well bottling everything up is going for him. "Might be longer for everyone else. I hope it doesn't make Percy weird."

He knew he had been pushing his luck with the love thing, Luke hoped the kids wouldn't set him back on this whole expressing feelings stuff.

"Yeah. Some of the stuff the kids say has brought up a few questions. I'd bet he's the same, not that all questions have to be answered." Like why Luke and Nico were still dancing around the sleep issue.

"Well it's not exactly that. Our kids seem to be a little oblivious to whatever adult situation is going on around them." Well, Anna was. Ethan seemed to be more interested in playing than talking. "It's more, like, okay--we sort of took a bigish step in this whole thing we have, and I don't want him to freak out over the kids and take a step back."

"Big step?" Okay, Nico might never admit it, but he tried to pay attention to the Luke and Percy situation if only because he was forever trying to figure out what was going on with Luke and hoped Percy's reactions might tell him something. Still, this didn't mean he had any idea what steps there were in a relationship beyond movies. Maybe it would help him to hear it from a guy capable of putting feelings into words. "Like, you're moving out?"

"What, no. I like living with you a lot." No matter how awkward it might be sometimes.

Luke was about to open his mouth to warn Nico not to say anything to anyone, but realized that was always a kind of unspoken agreement between the two of them. So instead he just out and said it. "I told him I loved him."

"Oh!" Nico had known how Luke felt, hell, he'd called it last semester in class, but Nico understood that saying words like that out loud could be difficult. "Yeah, I can see why you might worry. Did he...you know, say it back?"

"He said he was happy I said it but that he couldn't do it yet," Luke said, trying not to show how much that disappointed him. Tried, but his shoulders still slumped a little and he frowned slightly. "Which is good, I guess. I wouldn't want him to say it if he didn't mean it."

No, it was still disappointing.

Yeah, that definitely sucked no matter how you spun it. "He's probably just scared. The guy's like, fifteen. Had he even kissed anyone before he met you?"

Ugh, Nico, don't remind him of how old Percy was.

"I doubt it. And I know he's probably scared. It's not like I wasn't. I've never said that to anybody before," Luke said. "I'm fine with giving him time. Like I said, I just don't want the kid thing to push back any progress that's happened."

"Yeah. If he freaks, maybe point out how feelings don't actually make babies so much as sex with girls and since none of us have that particular problem, he should be safe from things going faster than he's ready for," Nico suggested. "Of course, I probably shouldn't talk since you were right about the whole dating thing making Jason mad. We're cool now, but uh, yeah."

Luke sometimes wondered just how socially retarded Nico was because come on the dating thing seemed obvious. "Well it says something that you were able to work it out pretty quick, right?"

"Yeah," Nico shrugged, not really sure. "I'm gonna research it, see what I should be doing so I don't mess it up again." Because that was how to deal with not knowing how healthy relationships worked.

"You can try, but I don't think it's something that can be researched," Luke said. "Especially when it comes to people like us. It's not like we're gonna have completely normal relationships with the possibility of death lurking around every corner."

He had no idea why his mind kept springing to that. No idea.
