The Roof, Thursday Evening

It had been an uneventful trip home, for the most part: a thorough debriefing on everything she'd observed and learned about in Fandom so far, complete with the expected stinging critique of what she could have done better, but much to Stephanie's disappointment not even one little brief and boring patrol. So uneventful, for the most part, except for getting to catch up with Cass, and then the fight she'd had with Tim that had started with her calling him on not being happy that she hadn't quit being Robin yet and ended with what she was pretty sure was a breakup. Oops. So much for a good Valentine's Day. (She could have felt worse about it, but really, if he couldn't be happy for her . . .)

She'd gotten back to Fandom just before nightfall, and spent a couple of hours putting away her clean laundry and carefully stashing all the treats Alfred had sent along, then headed on up here.

She wasn't really brooding; Steph didn't do brooding. That was the big guy's job, and part of hers was to balance that out. It was just that everything was a little simpler when you were hanging out on a rooftop under the cover of night, in costume or out of it. And, she thought, legs dangling idly over the edge of the building, it was a pretty nice night.

[OOC: Open roof is open!]

"I was looking at possible other vacations, but nothing really panned out," Bruce said. "And if Hawaii is my fall back option, I'll take it."

"Probably private funding, donations, a little bit of a boost from the occasional fundraiser, although that can't help too much, and group discounts," Bruce said. He suspected that just being a magical institution beyond space and time also cut the school a few breaks with paying for things.

Yes, of course he'd thought about this.

"Anyway, you'll like it. I've only been there briefly, but it's pretty nice from what I've seen."

"I've snowboarded. It's not too different from that, right? The water's just a little less solid and there are more sharks to dodge," Bruce said.;

"Well, you'll have a chance to do one," Bruce said. "Going to give it a shot?"
