Cheerleading Practice // The Gym // Wednesday After Classes

Harper missed hanging out on Hawaiian beaches, but she was glad to get back to cheerleading. She had the mats all set up for the squad to practice their tumbling, or just practice cheers if they weren't necessarily ready for tumbling.

And as an added treat, she set up the snack table with cups of mango passion fruit juice if anyone was really wanted to revisit spring break in Hawaii. After all, it was important to stay hydrated!

Because after a week off, you don't want to pull a muscle.

Harper will be demonstrating how to do a cartwheel (http://www.wikihow.com/Do-a-Cartwheel) if anyone wants to learn!

"Raaaaar!" Robin was practicing a mascot routine that involved a running leap, ending in a dive to the floor and rolling.

He had all of that down, but he needed to work on stopping. As it was, this time he kept rolling till he hit the wall.

Rilla wandered over to learn a cartwheel from Harper (and to stay out of the way of the careening frog, it must be admitted).

"Ready to give it a try? I'd be happy to spot you," said Harper. Though she was speaking to Rilla, she was keeping a cautious eye on the mascot.

"Please," Rilla said, still not altogether sure about shoving her legs into the air for the world to see.

That wasn't quite what Harper was concerned about. "You really want to practice on a soft surface, like on top of all these mats," she explained. "Though next time we do tumbling, I might line the walls with extra mats to be on the safe side."

"Or there might be frog shaped dents in them for all time," Rilla said in a quiet voice, trying very hard not to giggle. It would be unkind.

Is there any business that needs to be addressed by the squad?

"I think we should do a fund raiser for Spring," Chloe said. "Selling blue and gold carnations for people with messages attached."

After he pings in.

Because we need someone to cheer for!
