Fifth Floor Common Room | Morning | Sunday | March 20
Most mornings, Bod's breakfast consisted of cereal or some toast. This morning, he'd splurged a bit and gone into town for a dozen donuts. He didn't know why he had a particular craving for sugar of the donut variety this morning but he had the extra money and he had the time so there was nothing stopping him.
Of course, he wasn't going to eat them all in one sitting. He'd done that before and ended up with an awful stomachache and a few learned lessons. Never again. He'd eat just a few and he'd do so while lounging lazily on one of the couches, watching some early morning news program. It wasn't that exciting but he hadn't bothered to find the remote so laziness it was.
[Open, yep]

In short, he had no idea. Mornings were pointless.

Despite the fact that he still didn't know her name.

Bod hadn't picked up that he meant Kate and he'd been repressing that weekend so much that he hadn't yet recalled why Jeremy's face was almost making him...uncomfortable. It was just a nagging feeling but it was there.
"Why?"

And Jeremy had a tendency of doing whatever pretty girls asked him to, anyway.

As soon as he realized it, he couldn't help remembering that entire weekend. What he'd seen, what Silas had done, the conversation with Kate, everything.
"I cannot -- wow. It is an uncanny resemblance. You're far younger and...not kissing my ex-girlfriend in front of me. I cannot believe I didn't see this before."
no subject
"Wait, cinema girl is your ex?" His face fell. "Oh, man, I'm sorry."

It was almost uncanny but Bod was trying not to make Jeremy feel worse and trying to desperately differentiate the two of them in his mind so he wouldn't see Jeremy kissing Kate when he closed his eyes.

... This was just one of the many reasons Jeremy shouldn't have been allowed to talk to people before his coffee. He winced once he realized what he'd said. "Sorry."
no subject
"You've no need to apologize," Bod insisted, shaking his head. "I'm sorry that she asked you to do that, to hide. She shouldn't have. It's not your fault that you look like him and it's not your fault he apparently can't stomach anything unusual."
