Most mornings, Bod's breakfast consisted of cereal or some toast. This morning, he'd splurged a bit and gone into town for a dozen donuts. He didn't know why he had a particular craving for sugar of the donut variety this morning but he had the extra money and he had the time so there was nothing stopping him.

Of course, he wasn't going to eat them all in one sitting. He'd done that before and ended up with an awful stomachache and a few learned lessons. Never again. He'd eat just a few and he'd do so while lounging lazily on one of the couches, watching some early morning news program. It wasn't that exciting but he hadn't bothered to find the remote so laziness it was.

"Hello," Sov said. "I'm Sov. I'm invading your common room."

"Hello, Sov." Jeremy had a cup of coffeesafely in hand by now, and was therefore far more prepared to be smiling and friendly at strangers than he had been earlier. "No problem, dude, invade away. I'm Jeremy, Jeremy Darling."

"Good, because my common room was empty," Sov said. Sometimes they craved company. At home they had been the one who sought solitude more often than others, but here that just turned into loneliness.

"Do you know Juliet Darling, then?" Perhaps it was a common name.

"Know her? She thinks she can read my mind, dude!" Jeremy grinned. "Jules is my twin sister."

Oh! Well, Juliet had mentioned a brother, come to think of it. And as Sov liked Juliet they now decided they might like Jeremy too.

"Can she?" they asked with a grin.

"No," Jeremy said, shaking his head. "Well, I think she sometimes has pretty specctacularly good guesses, but I don't think she can really read it."

Which was just as well since a lot of the time there wasn''t a whole lot up there to read.

"I guess that's for the best anyway," Sov replied. "I like your sister, and she taught me to dance."

"Well, she's totally nice like that." And the brotherly love was kind of obvious from his smile. "I mean, I'm assuming she didn't stomp on your feet or anything."

"If there was feet stomping it was done by me," Sov replied. "And I appreciated it. I didn't know what to expect from the dance."
