Third Floor Common Room | Monday Evening | 3/21

It was with morbid fascination that Peter Bishop found himself on a common room couch watching professional wrestling on the television.

He was honestly confused a bit.

"Wait, there's only one of these companies still around?" he said, having tried to flip between the old feuding promotions' shows. "Huh. Guess the future has its other improvements too."

Yes, he was talking to himself. He had extra popcorn and soda for anyone else interested in seeing oiled-up men in tights wrestle around a ring.

[ooc: Open common room is open.]

"Oh god, really?" Ramona asked as she wandered in, staring in horror at the television. "Really?"

"I generally like my men smaller and less hairy," she replied dryly. "And not whaling on each other. And not in spandex."

"I'm sort of morbidly fascinated," she admitted. "You watched this as a child?"

"That's ink to paper," she corrected. "Those are grown-ass men, who are going to actually deal with injuries."

"Wrestling's fake where I'm from, too," she agreed, "but come on, they can't fake everything. These dudes have to be messing up their spines and joints."

"Hockey players wear padding," she said, shaking her head. "Look, those men are in tights. You know how much protection tights offer? Zero protection, Peter. Zero."

"Memory loss at eighteen?" Ramona asked. "Repression? Or did you just hit your head really hard?"

"Have you mentioned the whole not-remembering thing to her?" she wondered. "Might jog her memory."

"I don't know how it doesn't really bother you now," Ramona noted, shaking her head a little. "You're better adjusted than me, I guess."

"It doesn't bother you that you're missing huge chunks of your memory?" Ramona confirmed. "Seriously?"

"I'm pretty sure I did the same thing I did every summer as a kid," she admitted, "but some things stick out. I can remember most of my childhood -- just not the particulars. Like most memories."

"Not for me," she said carefully. "Maybe I just have a really good memory, though."

She didn't really think that.
