Rilla had not turned the television on when she'd come into the common room. She was far too engrossed in the magazine she'd just discovered.

Look out, world. Rilla Blythe had discovered Cosmo quizzes.

If only she understood half of the things the questions were asking about!

"It's a magazine," Rilla said, "but very unlike the ones I have from home, which are rather geared toward flower arranging."

"And this one is... flowerless?" Elphaba said. "I always rather liked poppy fields, but I doubt that has anything to do with this. What is the magazine about, then?"

"Clothing," Rilla said, "and movie stars I've not heard of."

And sex, but Rilla hadn't noticed that.

"Oh," Elphaba said, her face showing her disbelief that such subjects would be that interesting. "And this is... fun for you?"

It wasn't a judgmental question, just bafflement.

"Even though you have no idea who these stars are," Elphaba clarified. "Are the clothes really that interesting?"

As a girl whose skin had a tendency to clash with a lot of fashion, she wasn't so much into clothes.
