Dorm Lobby, Saturday

After attempting to walk to the school in order to open the library today, Blackagar discovered that those little creatures seemed to send you back to the dorms whenever they touched you. It had only taken two times for him to very gracefully stay where he was.

Eying the turtles as they marched on over the grounds.

He was just going to make a mental note to ban turtles from Attilan when he was king while he took a seat. It was a good plan.

And there was Ender, popping up out of nowhere with wet feet, a towel, and wearing precious little beyond his swim trunks.

He looked both exasperated and thoughtful.

Hey, Blackagar was all with him on not approving of this bullshit. He offered Ender a sympathetic nod upon his rather sudden arrival.

Turtles and mushrooms. Ugh.

Ender flung his towel back over his shoulder with a sigh. "You, too?"

After a moment of painful deliberation, Blackagar held up two fingers. Because that wasn't embarrassing at all.

At least he had the royal grace to hide it better.

Ender gave him a sympathetic nod back. "I take it you've figured out the rules?"

Yes, and to simply avoid the little genetic dead ends. Because sometimes Blackagar was allowed to be a bit snippy.

Not that anyone could tell he said that because Medusa wasn't there. But still.

He nodded, giving Ender a look that was a mix of annoyed and amused by the entire situation.

"They're in the pool now," Ender supplied. He felt his agreement with at least half of Blackagar's feelings about the situation was fairly obvious.

How did they even get into the pool? Because that would mean they were getting into the dorms...

Hopefully his look translated that concern. If not, he might have simply looked constipated.

He was just lucky Ender was the non-magical, non-powered, totally Muggle version of an empath.

"I don't know," he answered, "But I'm planning to find out."

Blackagar nodded at that. Good. They'd need someone to check that out while he... continued to glare at those damn turtles for defeating him.

Bruce didn't have his locker key now and wasn't about to spend the few seconds he'd need breaking into a locker by the pool, so he was heading back upstairs soaking wet and in his swim trunks. But he was doing it by choice.

"Everyone having fun?" Bruce asked in a not at all fun-sounding voice when he noticed there were other people in the lobby.

"And I hear jumping on top of them works," he added, "Though that's a little more awkward in the pool."

Where was Bean to come up with really stupid but usable tricks when you needed him?

...well then. He might be able to manage that. Since he was genetically superior and all that.

He would have to try out this pool of theirs. Just in case.

Blackagar waved to Bruce, nodding that he was perfectly fine. Because he stopped trying to deal with those damned mushrooms after the second time. It worked out for the best that way.

"Did you get sent here by the turtles or mushrooms or something?" Bruce asked. "That happened to me a couple times yesterday."

Blackagar waited for a turtle to pass into view from the doors before pointing it out. It was easier that way to explain which one it was.

He gave Bruce a curious look. Just how wide spread was this thing?

"It's all over the island," Bruce said, nodding at the tutle. "And now it's spread to the pool. That's the first I've seen it in the dorms. Where was yours? The library?"

"Makes sense," Bruce said. "So now you're just staying out of trouble down here?"

Jaina had just been on the street. And now she was here. It took her a second of looking around to figure out where she was, and then she just barely bit down on the curse that would follow something like a turtle shell sending you to the dorms.

There was a "You have to be kidding me," instead.

It seemed to be the most prudent course of action, Blackagar wrote back. Because someone was the type to think about doing something for daaaays before actually doing it.

Blackagar shook his head at her sympathetically. It was sending everyone here, it would seem. Even the teachers.

"I can't blame you," Bruce said. "Still, I'm heading back out later to see how things are progressing. After I dry off a little."

"I got hit with a shell in town," she said, frowning. "And I ended up here? How is that fair?"
