The Roof, Sunday Evening

Sure, it was a bit chilly out despite being May. But that wasn't going to stop Tony from going up to the roof for emo brooding thoughtful contemplation. Like you do when you were a teenager in Fandom.

On the plus side, the sky was positively filled with stars with no light pollution to keep them from being seen. It was kinda cool if you asked him.

[[Open like a roof is!]]

"Oh, wow! There's a roof!"

It looked like someone discovered the door at the top of the stairs and finally got over his concerns that he would be opening it up and discovering something....

...well, let's just say, it sometimes paid to be carefully opening doors in Butters' experiences. But he rather liked where this one lead him.

"Oh, hi!" Butters laughed a little when he noticed that someone was actually there out on the roof. "And, yeah, that's me! I'm Butters. I live down in 216, and I'm from South Park, Colorado."

"Well, hey, there, Tony," said Butters, taking in a deep breath of the crisp night air and looking fondly out at the view from above. "Do you live up here?"

Hey, it was possible!

Butters nodded a little. "Yeah," he said, "but the view sure is nice. Not nice enough to live out here in the winter, probably, but still. Real nice up here."

Of course not.

"Really?" asked Butters, who then looked around.

"Where?"

Toby was bored, and restless, and eventually that restlessness led him up to the roof. Not for brooding, exactly, this island had... pretty much been one of the best things to happen to him in a long time. But just- to think about things. Like whether he ought to call Ray and let him know where he was.

"Whoa," yeah, he'd noticed those stars too. And they were distracting enough that he didn't even immediately register the persence of another person on the roof.

Startled, Toby glanced over at the source of the voice. It wasn't that often people managed to get the drop on him, what with the whole telepath thing. "Amazing. I've never seen anything like it," he replied honestly.

"Toronto," Toby offered. "So, pretty much the same deal. Only slightly colder." A pause. "Not as cold as this, though, usually. At least, this time of year."

"That is true," Toby admitted. "That is very true. Although to be honest I'm still kind of stuck on the fact that we're in Iceland at all."

"Oh, great. The roof," Jack said warily as he exited the door onto the roof. "Somehow I was hoping for another floor. Maybe one without a ball pit. Or at least railings."

Yep. Fear of heights. Kicking in.

"Yeeeeeah," Jack said leaning against the wall by the door, "I'm just going to play it safe and not risk anything of the kind. I like my limbs unbroken and my head... un-concussionable."

He so wasn't helping.

"You know," Jack said, "It might be a bit safer if you just puuuuullll back from the edge tehre."

"Ecstatic," Jack deadpanned. "I almost wet my pants in joy."
