Rock Band Party, Tuesday Evening, First Floor Rec Room
Karla and Warren had celebrated their return to their proper forms in the way that many teenagers would find appropriate: they'd headed back to the modern mainland, found a toy store, and bought a gaming system (or three). Along with the games they bought to go along with said system, they also picked up a few guitars, a keyboard, a drum set, and two microphones.
Once back in the rec room, the rest of the afternoon had been spent setting up the systems and buying every single song available for the game. Waiting for them to finish downloading actually took longer than the initial setting up, even taking in Karla's attempts to 'help'.
But now the system was set up, the songs were ready, and the instruments prepared.
Fandom High? Get ready to rock.
[Open for anyone who wants to play.
not_a_parakeet modded to an ungodly degree with permission! Just a warning about SP and Karla's threads--I will be AFK all day, but if you're willing to wait until Thursday that's fine by me.]

Of course, they'd downloaded something like a million, so Karla wasn't willing to commit for certain.
"Maybe we could find one of the songs that's less singing and more talking? Then you'd just have to say the words on the screen."
Rhythmically. And in time.

"... Like, rap or something?"

LIKE SHE KNEW MODERN MUSICAL GENRES, WARREN.
"There's some by the Beastly Boys, I think."
Beast--oh, never mind.

"I could probably fake that," Warren mused, almost, almost convinced on this thing. There was no way this could backfire! Right? "Just talking. Talking with a rhythm."

Even if he was horrible. Not that she expected it to be horrible, but it's just what good girlfriends did.
"If you want, I can try to play like...guitar or something?" she offered, looking at the rest of the instruments. "I'll be a lot busier trying to figure out how it works than judging your singing voice. Not that I planned to do that even if I'm just cheering or anything!"

So there!

He could try that foolishness with someone else, so there.
"Though if I'd known we were singing together, I would have tried to convince you to sing a love song."

Granted, that had been Fandom whimsy and not in front of everyone else, but the point stood.
"Haven't run away yet, have I?"
no subject
"No, you haven't." And for that, Warren was very thankful. "So, you'll still love me if I don't sing as well when I'm not randomly breaking out into songs I don't even know?"

Kisses! Kisses were the BEST.

"That reminds me," she added dimpling. "I have some receipts I should hand off to you."
'Some.' Like a box full. A BIG box.
"But not tonight. Tonight we are singing Beastly Boy songs."
