Rock Band Party, Tuesday Evening, First Floor Rec Room

Karla and Warren had celebrated their return to their proper forms in the way that many teenagers would find appropriate: they'd headed back to the modern mainland, found a toy store, and bought a gaming system (or three). Along with the games they bought to go along with said system, they also picked up a few guitars, a keyboard, a drum set, and two microphones.

Once back in the rec room, the rest of the afternoon had been spent setting up the systems and buying every single song available for the game. Waiting for them to finish downloading actually took longer than the initial setting up, even taking in Karla's attempts to 'help'.

But now the system was set up, the songs were ready, and the instruments prepared.

Fandom High? Get ready to rock.

"That's the plan!" Karla said with a laugh as she waved him in. "We'll see how the execution holds up. Want in? I'm about ready to give up the drums."

And someone should be able to wrestle the microphone away from Miley.

Billy hesitated for a moment before going in, although he shook his head at her offer. "I don't know, I'm not sure if my rhythm's very good. Are you having fun?"

"I am!" Karla said gaily, holding up her drumsticks. "I'm not very good at this at all--" in fact, she'd foisted the foot pedal off on Sookie because she couldn't handle stepping and banging at the same time, "--but it's fun to try. Besides, everyone in here kinda feels like an idiot. So it all evens out, you know?"

"I guess that does make it easier to try, huh?" Billy said, eying the drumsticks. "If you're getting tired of playing...I'm not singing, under any circumstances, I'm just saying that now."

"You can join the line of boyos who are refusing to do the same," Karla said with an amused sigh. "But I can take a break from drums if you want. And I think there's a guitar open."

"By the way, I'm Karla. Kiss kiss. You're...Billy, right? I think we had a class together?" She wasn't certain. Things kind of started to blur after awhile. And hopefully his name wasn't Greg or Todd or something.

Kiss kiss? That was kind of adorable, and Billy found himself smiling more. "Yeah, I'm Billy. And you're in cooking class, right? It was kind of hard to tell with all the pony action going on, but..."

Finally! Someone who didn't assume she was coming onto them, for better or for worse.

"I am! I made a sandwich yesterday."

Well...sorta. For interesting definitions of 'sandwich.'

"This is kind of a celebration for not being a pony anymore," she added. "The first day was cute, by the second, I was over it."

"I think I was over it by the second hour," Billy said, making a face as he remembered how awkward it had been. "Not turning back at any point that involved flashing someone with inappropriate nudity definitely deserves a celebration."

Karla waved towards the crowd of students, crowded around the TV. "So feel free to celebrate. There's plenty of instruments for you to pick up if you don't want to sing."

What better way to celebrate having thumbs again than by video games, huh?
