Rock Band Party, Tuesday Evening, First Floor Rec Room
Karla and Warren had celebrated their return to their proper forms in the way that many teenagers would find appropriate: they'd headed back to the modern mainland, found a toy store, and bought a gaming system (or three). Along with the games they bought to go along with said system, they also picked up a few guitars, a keyboard, a drum set, and two microphones.
Once back in the rec room, the rest of the afternoon had been spent setting up the systems and buying every single song available for the game. Waiting for them to finish downloading actually took longer than the initial setting up, even taking in Karla's attempts to 'help'.
But now the system was set up, the songs were ready, and the instruments prepared.
Fandom High? Get ready to rock.
[Open for anyone who wants to play.
not_a_parakeet modded to an ungodly degree with permission! Just a warning about SP and Karla's threads--I will be AFK all day, but if you're willing to wait until Thursday that's fine by me.]

But they weren't doing that, oh no. Karla was having enough trouble convincing Warren to sing.
"Wanna play?"

So it was a good thing he already planned on participating. He had been in Glee Club. This would be nothing.
"Perish the thought!" Alexander insisted. "I will sing, do not worry. Assuming, of course, that you will be doing the same, Karla."

Which would probably also be a problem for Alexander, which put them in the same boat, at least.
"Gentleman's choice?"
no subject
Which meant his exposure to music had gone hand-in-hand with Ariel's tastes.
But he had the microphone and then looked at the screen with a bit of confusion. "I trust you know how to actually maneuver the game to choose a song?"
Computer class had done nothing for Alexander. NOTHING.

...But only because Warren had spent a painstaking fifteen minutes figuring them out with her.
Karla got them to the song-selection page and then began to slowly scroll down. "Stop me when you find one you like."

And one thing you learned out of being in Glee Club was every Journey song known to man. It was in the rules.

Though she doubted she'd find a version of her friend singing Que Sera Sera on this game, sadly.
"Harmony or melody, Alexander?"

A little bit of musical introduction and then Karla lifted up the microphone and sang, "Just a small town girl...living in a lonely world...she took the midnight train going aaaanyyywheeere..."

"Just a city boy...born and raised in South De-troi-oit; he took the midnight train going aaaaannnnyyyyywheeeeeeere."

This really was an amazingly fun song to sing. Gold star, Alexander.
