Second floor stairs to First Floor Lobby, afternoon
"Have you got it secure?"
Kenzi appeared to be talking to thin air there, at least for the moment.
[ooc: for the ninjaaaaa, and then open to whoever walks by!]

And that was to let go of the campaign message light pattern he'd been hanging up so it could be seen from the lobby. No longer affected by his power, the glow sticks and chili lights rippled back into being visible.
Yes, he'd got it secure.

Neon red-and-yellow, in a marquee style, flashing on and off.

Or something. He wasn't sure what the procedure was.
no subject
Not really the point there.
no subject
Oh, he'd learn.

He'd save that for later."But do you think he'll like a sign like this?"no subject

He was! And he shouldn't be mopey! See, it was all good.

Simon... didn't know too many people, no.

no subject
"Oh."
He couldn't think of anything else to say, so he fiddled with the lights some more.
no subject
And then he happened to stumble upon this. Why was he only moderately surprised?
"...Dear lord, Kenzi, what on earth are you doing?"
[[You know the drill, SP-palooza! But come on.]]
no subject
Kenzi's eyes widened, and she waved her arms dramatically at Simon to try and cue him to concealment. "Wait wait for it wait!"
...a little way too late, of course.
no subject
Okay. There was a moment of temple-massaging. Then:
"Is there a reason," he asked slowly, "that you felt the need to do this?"
Besides funsies.
no subject
"This is all her," he said from the stairs, just in case. "Her idea."

Wesley didn't actually sound mad at this point -- just a bit tired. LIKE HE NEEDED THIS NOW.
no subject
She'd said Wesley wanted to campaign!
no subject
She sent Simon a wide-eyed look. What? I'm right here! If you have a question!
no subject
Because the Little Sib gods had wanted to light up his life, that's why. No offense, Freddie."I appreciate you support," he said dryly. "Did it occur to you that you're driving two innocent girls into a competitive wreck in the process?"
Of course. That was the point! Duh.
no subject
Seriously, what was Kenzi doing, actually?
no subject
See! Free will! Or something.
[and I must flee, but back to continue this later tonight]
no subject
"It may be too late for that at this point," he said, and now he was running a hand through his hair like this was the world's most difficult problem or something. (Well. It was Kenzi.) "As I've promised Quinn I'll ally with her for the duration of the campaign."
It was to stop blood being shed! Really! Though seriously, Wes, that had NOT fit at all with Kenzi's plan.
Simon, however, was getting a free pass on account of the fact that Wes could see that he wanted about as much to do with this as he did. He offered the other boy a slightly sympathetic look.
no subject
Because yes, awkward. And not really his business.
no subject
Not that he had wanted them in the first place, but it was hard to ditch the politeness, especially around another English kid.
no subject
Even if it felt weird to say about something the other boy clearly hadn't wanted. Oh well. Simon gave Kenzi a brief nod, then went on his way to go upstairs to his room.
He'd talk to Kenzi about this more later.
no subject
Then back to Wes. "You're doing what with Quinn?" Hey now! That was not the plan!
no subject
"We decided it would be mutually beneficial to form a single party," he explained. A bit primly, because this was smug Wes. What could you expect? "I'm sorry to disappoint you!"
He wasn't.
no subject
...wait. He was still running. Single party or not. "So I can still do this stuff. Cool!" And that meant there was some other girl to spin into a tizzy with this.
no subject
"Oh, all right, I suppose."
He turned to go, then doubled back to add, "Though 'Wes' and 'best' don't actually rhyme, I hope you know."
It was important!

Then the part about the badass angle hit, and his eyes went wide.
"Oh," he said, straightening his collar slightly. "Well. Thank you."
no subject
Look pitiful. Hide the gleam of yet more ideas.
no subject
"Yes, all right." It was at least more intellectually stimulating than sleeping, at any rate. He did hope she'd be a bit better at it than Percy had been. "When would you like to do that?"
no subject
no subject
"Fine, fine," he agreed. "Do try not to kill us all, would you?"
But that was mostly good-natured. She had to be a better shot than some others he'd worked with
Percy, so he wasn't terribly worried.no subject
Oh, she would so be a better shot than
PERCY!some people.no subject
With a nod in her direction, he was off, hoping all the while that he would wake up in the morning to find the maintenance workers taking down the lights. Really. Please.
no subject
Maybe he liked coffee?
