5th Floor Common Room: Monday Night [8-5-11]
Mercy was in a bit of a grumpy mood after having unsuccessfully attempted to avoid her mother's phone calls over the weekend. She really hadn't been in the mood to deal with Margi's interrogation about school or the guilt trip over not agreeing to go on their yearly summer vacation this summer.
She'd been polite and well-behaved and taken everything without complaint, since she'd already caused the family enough trouble. Still now, all she wanted was mindless television and spicy Chinese food - lots of it.
There was more Chinese food than you could shake a stick at and a choice of two police procedurals that she kept switching between. She couldn't decide if she liked the older silver haired man or the gorgeous bald black man better.
[OOC: Oh so very open!]

But then she thought about those times she and mother had a discussion that ended on a bad note, and her hand moved forward again.

"And she hadn't bothered to tell them about me."

"That sounds very stressful." Somehow she managed not to wince at saying something so inane. She wished she had something useful to offer!

Her hesitance was pretty obvious, and prompted Pascal to scamper down her arm toward Mercy's shoulder. Then he spun on Rapunzel's wrist and gave her a look. It seemed to say no more being depressed!.
Then he glanced over his shoulder at Mercy and gave a slow, serious nod.

She wasn't quite sure what to make of Pascal and his nod, so she just nodded back and gave him a small smile.

Meanwhile, Rapunzel herself grinned sheepishly at Mercy. "I don't know. I'm not very good at that kind of thing." But she was willing to try! And maybe learn!

She pointed out one of the guys. "See there, the handsome gruff silver haired guy? It's between him and... hang on..." She flipped back to the other show. "Um... oh, there he is. The gorgeous bald black guy. What do you think?"

"What is the criteria that we are judging them on?" she asked, food sitting in her lap mostly forgotten as she concentrated on the television.

She was kind of knew to this 'guys' thing.

She smiled over at Rapunzel. "We'll figure it out."
[ooc: And I must to bed! SP?]

Instead she thought for a minute and asked a different question. "Are there other types that lots of people like?"
no subject
She shrugged. "There are as many types as there are people, I guess."
