Fifth Floor Common Room, Thursday Afternoon
Wesley? Was surreptitiously taking down some of the more... well, horrible signs that Kenzi had put up in the common room. They were all bad, but some were worse than others and so not going to be representing his campaign. Like, at all.
Once most of the worst offenders were gone, he disposed of them in the garbage and started making tea.
There. Productive day.

"Kiss kiss," Karla called quietly when she saw Wesley through the doorway. She didn't come in all the way, lingering in the doorway. "Uhh, hi Wesley. How've you been?"
no subject
"What? Oh -- hello." Holding up the tea kettle, he offered, "Care for some?"
...Yeah. Odd. He knew she'd done something to piss off Katniss and he wasn't sure what, so... oddness.

"Something I found in a cabinet," he said, glancing at the box for clarification. "Oh." Well, then. "Raspberry Madness."

"Well, it's not Lipton." Talk about damning with faint praise.

Tea shouldn't be raspberry! Why couldn't Americans get this? Sigh.

"How're you settling back into school?" she asked. "Radio says you're running for student council again?"

Though that Annie had swung first.

Because Annie herself was clinging to that. She had no problem hitting someone if they deserved it, but this was slightly different.

"I'm almost positive that Mr. Madrox programmed them to be impossible."

She was already failing and hadn't managed to build a pillowfort. It wasn't like her grades could get worse.

"I don't know," she said. "I'm pretty sure he doesn't even know our names."

At least this would be way less awkward than Sunday! Hopefully! "Oh, hi again," Annie greeted him with a little smile.

As it was? Only kind of.
"Hello. Would you like some tea?"
no subject
See, she could totally do normal conversation.

You know, with his grieving girlfriend and the political interventions of Kenzi and all that.
"Yourself?"

Welcome to the world of crazy optimism.
no subject
"Crazy classes, you say?"

"That certainly is odd," he agreed. "By Fandom standards, however..."
It was less so.
