Second floor common room [morning]

Ben hadn't exactly been getting a lot of sleep these days, so he finally gave up on trying and wandered into the common room barefoot in search of coffee and something other than the list of Fandom students and alumni who hadn't made it back to the island by yesterday evening to keep his mind busy.

He flipped the television on...and found that it was showing a gremlin-bite tape of his father and Gavin Kriffing Darklighter thinking they were gay German magicians.

"Poor Artoo," Ben murmured, a small smile playing across his lips.

This was certainly distracting, but Ben might not be so pleased the next time a Skywalker gremlin bite came onto the screen.

Seifer Almasy can be an asshole. People know this. And after listening to the radio broadcast that morning, Seifer indulged in that trait. Which is why he was wearing a white t-shirt with 'TEAM WARREN' written on it in big, blocky letters when he entered the common room that was not his own.

He stood and starred at the television for a moment and then frowned. "Maybe I'm lucky and they already showed mine."

"Or any of mine," Ben said. "If you want, we can check the channels to be sure?"

Seifer shook his head as he headed for the fridge. "No, I'm happy living without seeing my own humiliation." Even if the squirrels had said it was Squall.

"What did you think you were?" Ben asked. "Hopefully not scary and German like this..."

"Close, but no." Seifer made his way to the couch with a sandwich he had scrounged up. "Lady Gaga. Meat dress included."

"Probably a bad question to ask but where'd you get the meat?" Ben wondered.

Peter poked his head into the second floor common room because... well, because he hadn't felt like grabbing cereal on the third floor, that's why.

"...And now what do we have here."

Something that didn't cause him mind-numbing terror he had to obscure!

"Meet an alternate version of my dad," Ben said a little wryly. "He's the blond one."

[lockestheway]

"The one with the terrible accent?" Peter asked. After a beat, "...One of the ones with the terrible accent."

"The shorter one with the terrible accent," Ben agreed. "He doesn't normally talk like that."

[lockestheway]

"What are they doing to that robot?" he wondered.

It was an honest question!

[dollpocalypse]

"Dude," Topher observed. "That guy kind of sounds like you did that one time."

Silly Topher. Clearly a terrible German accent was entirely different from a terrible... whatever that accent had been.

[lockestheway]

BAVARIAN!

... By ways of Russia. And several other terrible accents.

Peter rolled his eyes. "No, he doesn't," he said, "But they do look mighty stupid."

[dollpocalypse]

Bavarian. Right. Narrative's apologies, Peter. That was clearly a whole different thing.

"Yup," Topher agreed. Grinning a little, he said, "Promise you'll never be that mean to anything I make for you?"

"Now, now," Peter said, gesturing at the screen. "It's clearly suffering in the name of art."

Topher blinked at the screen for about a minute before making an important observation.

"That poor robot."

Ben laughed. "Yeah, Artoo's had a tough go of it."

Huhwhat?

"Don't tell me," he said. "That's one of yours."

Why did Ben get so much cool tech? IT WASN'T FAIR.

"Technically speaking, it's my dad's," Ben said.

"...and your dad just let it get kidnapped by crazy people?"

Tony wasn't in his lab. This was... progress of a sort.

"Be careful," Topher cautioned Tony, pointing at the TV. "It was showing our crocodile thing before."

Topher raised his eyebrows. "Just like you got rid of the crocodiles?"

Look, Nikki beat Terry any day. That was law.
