2nd Floor Common Room, Monday Evening

The television was on in the common room. And there was a tiny god watching it.

That was not the strange part of what was happening, though. The strange part was what was on the television. It was a channel that proclaimed itself to be 'Logo' and the players upon the stage were men in dresses and made up as though they were women.

And yelling at each other quite a bit.

"Huh." He could only wonder if his brother knew of this.

"That could be later," Anna pointed out.

That would make for a fun episode, it was true. "Perhaps with a bit of cannibalism!"

That was only one Shakespeare play, Loki. Anna wrinkled up her nose and said, "Gross, I hope not. They wouldn't put that on television, would they?"

But it was a good oooooone.

"Not a real show of it. It is just players for our entertainment."

"You never know," Anna said, "one time when I was in here there was a show about people who catch fish by sticking their hands in holes. And it was real."

"...why would they need to?" DID THEY NOT HAVE FISHING EQUIPMENT?

[dressedinblood]

"I don't know!" Anna admitted, her bewilderment clear. "My father was a fisherman but he used nets and hooks and poles, like a normal person."

[abitlowkey]

"They could be too destitute," he suggested.

[dressedinblood]

"Too poor to buy fishhooks?" Anna said doubtfully. "Fishhooks are cheap!"

[abitlowkey]

"It could be the challenge?" No. It was just a horrible show, guys.

"Matt said he thought it was their job. I don't see how you could make enough money catching fish with your hands to make a living," Anna said doubtfully. "Unless maybe the TV people pay them."

"...shouldn't they be paying to have their dramas shown to a larger stage?"

DAMN RIGHT, LOKI.

"For the publicity, you mean?" Anna asked. "I never thought about it like that...but it makes sense..."

[abitlowkey]

"Very little of this makes sense to me," he admitted, watching a commercial for Absolut Vodka.

[dressedinblood]

"Very little of most things makes sense to me," Anna admitted. "You get used to it."

[abitlowkey]

"Perhaps Wikipedia will tell me." Yes, that wonderful source of information.

[dressedinblood]

"What's a Wikipedia?" Anna asked.

[abitlowkey]

"It is like a library with all the information you could hope to find." Suuuuuure.

[dressedinblood]

Anna was still confused, Loki. "Do they have a copy in the school library?" She was envisioning something like the Encyclopedia Britannica, here.

[abitlowkey]

"Oh, they have one wherever you go! That is the best part!" He'd introduce you to the internet, Anna. And then there would be terror.

First she had to learn how to use a computer. "Is this a television thing?" she guessed.

"Of a sort!" A beat. "I could show you some time."

[dressedinblood]

"Would you? That would be great," Anna said.
