Fourth Floor Common Room, Wednesday Evening
Well. Two months here and Alec had officially decided: mundie TV programs were alarming.
If it wasn't the reality show with the orange people, it was reruns of the teenybopper program about the girl with the double life, and if it wasn't that, it was Adolescent Mummy, which was... just wrong. Just so many levels of wrong.
Reruns of that were on right now, and Alec sighed and ate his Thai food, counting down the hours until he could go back into the salle and have it be reasonably acceptable again without having creepily spent the entire day there.
It would be at least another two. Three, maybe. Sigh.

He walked into the room like he had a right to be there, giving a passing, somewhat disdainful glance at the television and the program being played from within, giving a little grunt of distaste. He did, however, manage a somewhat decent, though gruff, greeting of "Good evening" before going to investigate the refrigerator.

If the guy didn't want to talk, he wasn't going to make him, or anything.
Well, except perhaps for the requisite-- "There's some extra Thai food on the bottom shelf."

And he frowned, teeth grinding, trying to decide if he was going to consider Dornish fare acceptable.

Wasn't that helpful?

And also possibly because he liked oranges.

"Oranges are good, yes; where might I find them?"

"No idea," Alec said shortly. This show was very frustrating to a guy who had personally studied mummies growing up, mkay. Figuring he could do the best he could to be helpful, he waved a hand at the screen and added by way of context, "There's a... one of their parents or someone trying to interfere with them dating."
ALLISON, WHY DID YOU HAVE TO MAKE SUCH TERRIBLE LIFE CHOICES?

There was no denying the note of faint disapproval in Stannis's voice.

And he liked the love story. SHUT UP.

At least the video games Loki had been introducing to him seemed to have a practical, strategic benefit to them.

Hello to you too, Victor. He grabbed an orange from the fridge and elaborated.
"I mean, like where they're always running into the woods when anybody smart would be running out."

It was possible that answer had come a bit too quickly. Look, Alec told it like he saw it.
"The girl's dating a mummy," he added. "Why?"
Right, Alec, like your sister wouldn't try that if the opportunity presented itself.

And this was why Victor didn't have a girlfriend: He actually thought that would be a little cool.

And yet it was still on. On the TV. Which he was watching. Yes.

...and when she saw what was happening on the TV, it led to, "Do I want to know?"
No, Sia, probably not.

"I doubt it," Alec said before he even turned around. "It's terrible."
Then he did turn, and seeing who it was, started a bit in surprise. "Oh. Hello."
