Third floor common room [Too karking early for a Sunday, Cade]

Cade had gone for a nice long run around the island and was now working industriously in the common room kitchen making green juice (heavy on the kale, naturally) and nice hot bowls of gruel oatmeal.

Breakfast was the most important meal of the day, you know!

Anyone hungry?

Then Cade probably wouldn't talk about fiber!

"Well, I'm trying to make everyone a little healthier," Cade said. "Better oatmeal than week old Chinese leftovers, right?"

"What's wrong with pancakes or eggs?" Celia wondered. "Other breakfast foods, I mean?"

She wasn't advocating Chinese leftovers, either, but she was going to defend waffles until the end, here.

"Oh, they're okay in moderation but I find that if I eat a ton of pancakes they just sit in my stomach and make me work twice as hard to keep my six-pack, you know?"

He lifted his shirt so that Celia could inspect said six-pack.

Celia immediately turned bright red, but tilted her head thoughtfully all the same. "You call those muscles a...six-pack?" she repeated curiously. "Why is it so important that you have them, though? Are they...useful?"

Or just utterly beautiful to look at? She'd accept either answer, really.

"Well, I end up in a lot of tight jams back home," Cade said, letting his shirt drop again. "So I found it's better to have muscles than not."
