3rd Floor Common Room | Tuesday Afternoon

Ronan missed his car. It used to be so easy to stomp his way out of Monmouth and get into the BMW and take off. He could find a drag race somewhere outside of town and take the money of every single child that showed up and then come back with Gansey none the wiser.

Gansey had always known though. But, that wasn't really possible here. The room was too small to stay in so Ronan had reluctantly come down to the common room to see what was going on. He flipped on the television but didn't pay any attention to it.

Nope, he was there to see what he could find for Chainsaw, the black raven that was currently sitting on his shoulder. Chainsaw seemed to be taken with new surroundings but not enough to fly away.

"What do you want?" Ronan asked in a voice that was a lot softer than the one he usually used. "Hungry?"

Chainsaw squawked, "Kerah," which was her name for Ronan and flapped her fingers.

"Okay, let's find something."

The kitchen seemed to be decently stocked so he'd just steal something for the both of them.

They were fun, weren't they? Even now when they were pretending to be covered in tights.

Raven smiled brightly back. "Hi. Come to help us break in the new boy?"

Jalian smirked and came to sit by Raven. "What are we doing to him?"

"Mostly just telling him about Fandom," Raven admitted. "He got pretty put out when I turned into him to demonstrate my powers."

[kenselvren]

Jalian chuckled. "I would have liked to see that!"

"It was pretty funny," Raven said. Or at least it had been after she'd been pretty sure he wasn't going to attack her for it. "People make the best faces when you suddenly look just like them."

[kenselvren]

Jalian thought about it and scrunched up her nose. "Yes," she agreed. "It would be strange to be looking at myself. Besides, you're prettier."

And then, because once she started thinking about it, her brain just kept going, "Do you do it like a mirror, all reversed? Or do you make left left and right right?" she asked curiously.

"It's like a photo," Raven explained. "Like how I see you in the world, not like how you see yourself in a reflection." She shook her head. "And what makes you think I'm prettier? You've got that amazing hair."

"Like an old woman!" Jalian protested. "Besides, you could have it if you wanted. And you have curves." Not as many as Elsa, maybe, but still. "I am," she made straight up and down lines with her hands, rolling her eyes.

"Well, I think you're very pretty," Raven said. "I'm only pretty because I make myself look like this. Like picking out a nice pair of shoes."

[kenselvren]

"This is pretty, too," Jalian agreed. "But your...red hair and the rest," she hedged with a glance at Ronan just in case, "is beautiful and unique. And still curvier than me," she added with an eyeroll.

"I have scales," Raven pointed out. "Like a lizard. You look like one of the models from fashion week."

[kenselvren]

Jalian gave her a look. "You have scales like you, not a lizard. My closest friend before I came here," and it almost didn't hurt to talk about ghess'Rith anymore, "was square, furry, and purple, with tentacles, four legs, and a traveling eye, and lacy bones for a face."

Out-weird that, Raven!

She was ignoring the rest of the remark, since she had no idea what 'fashion week' was.

Raven couldn't even form a mental image of that. ". . . Lacy bones?"

Jalian tried to describe it. "Like a spiderweb, but not that thin. All tiny flexible bony things."
