Girl's bathroom, 3rd floor, Saturday evening
The trouble with going around everywhere shapeshifted into having clothes was that you tended to get a little grimy, leading to more showers than your average teenage girl tended to go for. So it was that she ended up spending her Saturday evening steaming up the bathroom. Hey, she didn't really get cold, but that didn't mean her muscles didn't love a good blast of hot water now and then.
She shifted out of habit as she stepped out, and seeing no one else in the bathroom just yet, took her time looking over her usual disguise in the mirror, trying to decide if she wanted to make any adjustments. Maybe add a mole or a birthmark somewhere? Normal people didn't have perfectly clear skin all over, after all. She fluffed her blonde hair a little, making a pouty face at the mirror, then reached up to wipe a little more steam from the surface.
"I wish I could just look like this all the time."
She let out a sigh and relaxed.
Nothing happened.
She was still blonde.
"Oh my god." She grinned at her reflection, rubbing her arms (so smooth!) and waggled her blonde eyebrows at herself. "Oh my god, I'm normal!" She bounced on her toes -- then froze and frowned. "Wait." She tried to shift to her big beefy man look. Nothing happened. She tried to change her hair to brown. Nothing happened.
"Oh my god," she said again, eyes going wide in the mirror. "Oh god, I'm normal." She tugged her too small towel around herself and looked down at it. "Oh god. I don't have any clothes."
She peered out of the bathroom. Her room wasn't that far. She could make it without traumatizing anyone too much, right?
[ooc: yeah, she'll work out the whole "four more wishes" thing eventually. In the meantime, naked blonde Raven trying to sneak through the third floor!]

Now, Travis was covering his face with his hands.
"This was definitely not the time to tell you that. Sorry, sorry. I just didn't want you to think you were the problem. You're not."

This was the sort of future tech that she hadn't honestly thought they'd get around to actually making.

He peeled his attention away from that and nodded before one hand tapped the scar that circled his neck. "That's what this is."

"And stayed that way for five years," he sighed, taking his hands away from his face finally. "But, I managed to get better."
Thank you, medical science.
He smiled slightly at her, maybe looking a little self conscious himself now. "It was a whole big thing."

She didn't know anyone else who'd come back from the dead
yet, after all.no subject

Okay, that pause wasn't even to collect his thoughts. He'd just gotten distracted by both the towel and the parts the towel wasn't covering. He blinked.
"The dying wasn't fun. I don't really want to go into details there because it was...it was pretty bad. But, coming back? It was confusing. I felt like I'd been left behind. All my friends were older, my parents were different, my ex-girlfriend was engaged and I was still the same age, still remembering them like it was five minutes ago and not five years. It was good to come back but it was hard."

He shrugged a bit but his shirt unfortunately didn't do any tricks like her towel did.
"I needed the space," he added. "Home isn't so bad anymore and I still like it here."

He wasn't sure if that was wishful thinking or not.
"Anyway," he said after a pause. "That was an incredibly long and incredibly detailed way of saying I don't mind the towel. I thought me telling you that right now would be weird. You're not weird."

The trailing off was only so he could try and not let his cheeks get too pink. They were warm but he didn't look like a beet.
"Yeah, I mean, of course I do. Yeah."

Admittedly, she thought most people were.

"Thanks," he replied, making a face at himself. "But I bet you say that to all the newly alive miracles of medical science."
Kidding.

Having someone else's body was good for something.
"You are pretty, though." Wasn't the first girl he'd said that to but it had been awhile. "I like the towel look."
