1st floor lobby- all day

Last year Gwen hadn't signed up for this, hated everything, and didn't know how this was her life. This year most of that was still true, but she did sign up for this on purpose, which was what led to those other two things. She was spending her day sitting under a super glittery banner reading "HOMECOMING TICKETS" and waiting for people to show up and entertain her and/or at least buy tickets or vote for homecoming court or whatever.

Or bring her coffee. That would work too.

At first Ada didn't even notice the table on her way to class. On the way back? She wasn't focused on trying to remember which class she had first on Mondays.

"So, this might be a totally dumb question, but what's a Homecoming?" she asked Gwen, stopping to admire the glittery banner.

"It's a dance," Gwen answered. "You dress up, hang out at a party where dancing might happen, somebody spikes the pinch and then there's a popularity contest."

"Exactly. Or you can ditch out early or join me in the corner to complain about all the glitter," she said.

"I like the stuff," she certainly wore enough body glitter, "--but I can always complain about how it's being used."

Ada made a face. "That's just a waste of perfectly good glitter that could be used elsewhere," she said. "...I'm not sure where, mind you, but it could. Maybe inside the shower heads of the guy's bathroom. People keep telling me that glitter makes them kiss each other."
