Third Floor Common Room - Wednesday Afternoon
After spending the last week stuck as a giant pending message icon, Negasonic didn't feel much like staying in her room. She settled for just wandering down the hallway and flopping on one of the couches instead.
Granted it was just like... five doors away from her room but at least it was a different setting.
For a late lunch, she poured herself a box of Chocolate Frosted Sugar Bombs and started flipping channels around on TV to find something to watch.

"Hey, Nega." What? It was way faster than Negasonic. "What're you watching?"

Hey. If she's shortening Negasonic's name, turnabout is fair play.

It was getting a little weird having only a couple people around who called her that. It was probably time for her to start expanding her definition of "friend" where the name thing was concerned.

She paused her channel flipping for a moment on a talk show that was about to reveal a paternity test. She flipped to the next channel before the results could be revealed.
"Anything interesting happen the last few days? I've been stuck in my room."

She was curious about the whole "stuck in her room" thing, but was a little worried she didn't want to know the answer.

This would make more sense to Negasonic if Doreen Green was in the Marvel/Fox Cinematic Universe.
Instead it was confusing and she just shook her head. "This place is fucking weird."

He glided into the room on his hoverboard and flopped on the couch. "Hey, little sis," he sing-songed. "Whatcha watching?"
no subject
Hoverboards: another of many things that had not managed to come out in Tip's world before the invasion.

She was feeling rather snarky today, yes.
"You know, when J.Lo comes to visit, I bet he could make it actually hover. That's what he did to our car. But -- he might accidentally reverse all the controls."

He turned the hoverboard over in his hands and idly flicked some specks of dirt out of the wheels. "Your parents ever send you crap like this?"
no subject
Gee. How to describe Colossus. Metal guy? Surrogate big brother? Nah.
"...former teacher just sent me a box of protein bars."
