Fifth Floor Common Room, Tuesday Afternoon
Ringo had all this video from AT runs out at the warehouses that her newly-set-up drone had managed to capture, but it was hard to tell if said footage was any good on her phone's tiny screen. But there was a giant TV in the common room that she could review it properly.
Of course, a nice big high-definition screen made it really easy to see all sorts of things that a dozen viewings on her phone hadn't revealed. Which meant that it wasn't long before Ringo was doing running commentary that made it clear just how terrible the girl on screen was.
"Tuck in your arms!" she yelled at the TV. "How are you supposed to control rotation if you're flailing around like that? And what was that landing? Did you see that wobble? It's because you over-rotated! You call that a flip? That was terrible!"
Sometimes Ringo was her own worst critic.

Look, yesterday with Ada had been fucked up. Ringo yelling at herself on screen? He was gonna relish that.

"Better than you," she snapped back. Predictably.

Yeah. That was totally what Dante was doing.

And it was, too. The drone's camera wasn't the best, but for this one trick it was at basically the perfect distance to capture an arcing jump that somehow looked lazy despite the impossible height of it.
no subject
Sure, it looked pretty. Dante was also pretty sure he could pull that off.
no subject
And sure Dante could probably do that, too, but not on ATs! And anyone pointing out that it was probably way harder to do without AirTrek could shut up.
no subject
Because you weren't put together the same way most people were, Dante.

She sighed. "Most people can't do the stupid stuff that you can, you know."
She shrugged. "Anyway, like I was saying, I'm mostly just checking the video quality. And I think it looks good enough to send to my sisters." Just to let them see how she was doing.
no subject
It wasn't like he was anyone else.
"You send your sisters AirTrek videos?"
no subject
Wouldn't it be weird not to?

Yeah. Building a camera drone to follow you around to shoot video to send home was totally normal, Ringo.
"Besides, they send me stuff all the time, so it makes sense to send things back. And at least I'm doing something productive with my time." For, you know, a sufficiently broad definition of the term.

She shrugged. Obviously he wasn't going to come around to the awesomeness of AirTrek like a sane person. "So you know what I've been up to," she waved at the screen. "What about you?"

Then she grinned, the expression managing to be bright and soft at once. "Congrats, then." As much for what a cat meant Ringo could project regarding Dante's emotional state as anything else.
