Fifth Floor Common Room, Tuesday Afternoon

Ringo had all this video from AT runs out at the warehouses that her newly-set-up drone had managed to capture, but it was hard to tell if said footage was any good on her phone's tiny screen. But there was a giant TV in the common room that she could review it properly.

Of course, a nice big high-definition screen made it really easy to see all sorts of things that a dozen viewings on her phone hadn't revealed. Which meant that it wasn't long before Ringo was doing running commentary that made it clear just how terrible the girl on screen was.

"Tuck in your arms!" she yelled at the TV. "How are you supposed to control rotation if you're flailing around like that? And what was that landing? Did you see that wobble? It's because you over-rotated! You call that a flip? That was terrible!"

Sometimes Ringo was her own worst critic.

"Oh! Washington." Ringo shot Dante a semi scowl. "Why didn't you just say so, then?"

Someone also didn't know that "Philly" meant Philadelphia.

"I dunno, that feels weird when you're not talking about the state," Dante mused.

"I thought Washington wasn't in a state?"

And Ringo wondered why people felt the need to needle her sometimes.

Dante frowned at her. "Washington state is on the West Coast," he said.

It made perfect sense!

Ringo opened her mouth, but didn't actually have a response. So she just blinked, shook her head, and shrugged.

"America doesn't make any sense," she griped.

"Your face doesn't make any sense," said Dante, with the wizened weight of maturity. "Don't you guys have panty vending machines?"

She shot him a scowl. "Shut up, you. Who do you think invented cat cafes, anyway?"

Not Japan, actually, Ringo. Sorry!

"Cat people who didn't get enough caffeine?" Dante suggested.

"Wouldn't it be the other way around?" Ringo asked, sounding oddly serious about it. "I mean, it's easy to get a coffee maker, but not everyone can get a cat, right?" Someone might be over-thinking things.

Dante considered that argument with a tilt of his head.

"You're overthinking this."

Ringo arched an eyebrow at him. "You just don't want to admit that I'm totally right."

Yeah. That's what it was.

"Nope," Dante said instantly. "You are totally wrong."

[soniaroadsqueen]

"Uh huh." Ringo grinned smugly. "You keep telling yourself that."

"Nah, definitely overthinking," Dante said, making a finger gun at her. "So have you been doing anything besides AirTrek?"

She stuck her tongue out at him, then shrugged. "I've actually been learning a lot about drones?" In the service of AirTrek, maybe, but it technically wasn't the same thing. "Turns out they're pretty neat!"

"What about you? Up to anything other than sleeping with people and, apparently, getting a cat?"

Dante shrugged. "Sometimes I eat stuff," he said. "You still haven't been by the store."

And he got on her case about having a one-track mind.

"You work on, what, Fridays? Maybe I'll come bug you, um, I mean, check it out this week."
