Second floor common room- Monday evening
After class and training, Sabine had gone and done some shopping, then put everything away in the common room kitchen, putting her firebird on all her stuff in marker. Not that she didn't trust you people, but she didn't trust you people. Her entire plan for the night going forward was very much that of a teenager left on their own: ice cream for dinner and trashy TV.
And then when she looked up from grabbing a spoon, she spotted the gremlin on the counter.
She froze, waiting to see what it was going to do. She'd gotten thicker gloves since dealing with the bitey things at Hera's, so she was probably okay, but she wasn't positive.
The gremlin, meanwhile, also froze, waiting on her.
Sabine backed away slowly, with her spoon and ice cream, and slowly backed away towards the couch, eyes on the gremlin the whole time. It didn't move the entire time, and she sat down without any problem.
She was still looking back occasionally to make sure the gremlin was right where she could see it, though.

She perched on the arm of the sofa. "What about you, did you have classes today?"

"Oh, hey, Sabine, have you see--"
And, thus distracted, back turned to the counter, and marked as an easy target practically before she'd even crossed the threshold, the gremlin made its move, leaping off the counter to find a nice bite of Astrid's shoulder.
"Son of a bi--" She swatted at whatever it was, despite having a sinking feeling in her stomach that she knew exactly what it was. That feeling turned into butterflies rather quickly, though, as she blinked around the room with a startled expression, pain forgotten, gremlin hitting the floor and scurrying off, no doubt to return back to the counter in due time in hopes for someone else not nearly as cautious or aware as Sabine and Lana had been.
Sorry, Astrid.
Or shall we say Briar Rose?
"Goodness," she breathed out once she really got a good look around the place and realized it wasn't like anything she'd ever seen before. "But where am I? I feel...I feel as though...I've just woken from...a dream..."

"Astrid?" Sabine checked, knowing full well she wasn't going to answer to that.

"I beg your pardon," Briar Rose said, shaking her head. "I'm afraid I don't understand. I'm so sorry. But...you didn't happen to see three older women around here, have you? One in blue, one in green, one in pink? All very small and very dear?"
Oh, she'd been separated from them somehow...oh, this was very, very bad...very bad indeed, but also...perhaps...a little exciting, too.
They would be so worried, though! And rather upset, too, she imagined...

This was not going to help Sabine's want to keep Astrid protected in bubble wrap.

"Oh." Briar Rose looked a bit frightened, not unlike a deer caught off guard by a loud noise, her head turned toward the door in a flurry of blonde hair that was not nearly as thick and lustrous as she seemed to think it was. She could leave, of course, but there was no telling what awaited her outside. At least here, the mystery was lessened and, really, the other girl didn't seem like anything she should be too worry about.
"I...I really can't, I'm sorry. I'm not supposed to talk to strangers."
Not that that had stopped her earlier that day, when she ran into that mysterious man, and they'd danced...
She shook her head. "If only I could just find my godmothers...oh, they must be just beside</> themselves with worry!"

AstridBriar Rose, unable to suppress the smallest of shudders. She regarded the other stranger with eyes that seemed almost a little too innocent and wide. "All the woodland creatures are my friends, but I do think I might have a little bit of trouble making friends with this one..."Maybe it had something to do with the fact that it was still eyeing her like a tasty snack, despite having already gotten a good chomp in.

She gestured to her feet, and wiggled her toes to show off what she thought were bare and open, but were actually covered in a battered and worn pair of Ked sneakers with the laces coming slightly undone.
"You can just...yes, feel is just the word for it! You feel the land more, and you can almost hear it singing..."
