Second floor common room- Monday evening

After class and training, Sabine had gone and done some shopping, then put everything away in the common room kitchen, putting her firebird on all her stuff in marker. Not that she didn't trust you people, but she didn't trust you people. Her entire plan for the night going forward was very much that of a teenager left on their own: ice cream for dinner and trashy TV.

And then when she looked up from grabbing a spoon, she spotted the gremlin on the counter.

She froze, waiting to see what it was going to do. She'd gotten thicker gloves since dealing with the bitey things at Hera's, so she was probably okay, but she wasn't positive.

The gremlin, meanwhile, also froze, waiting on her.

Sabine backed away slowly, with her spoon and ice cream, and slowly backed away towards the couch, eyes on the gremlin the whole time. It didn't move the entire time, and she sat down without any problem.

She was still looking back occasionally to make sure the gremlin was right where she could see it, though.

And that thought would be exactly right. Wasn't it great?

Though Briar Rose gave the other girl a momentary strange look about the bar feet comment, she decided to simply stick to a more pleasant topic of conversation. "Oh, it's wonderful. Why, just earlier today, I was dancing with the animals in the forest, and the most beautiful, enchanting song came to me."

So, of course she had to sing it for Nell now, swaying slightly with the beginnings of a dance.

"Iii saw you, I walked with you, once upon a dream~!

Briar Rose may have been blessed with the gift of song at birth, but Astrid Magnussen...definitely had not.

"I know you, that look in your eyes is so familiar a gleam~."

And, yup, those were now a few well time and carefully placed twirls, after which she laughed a little, shaking all that glorious hair that she only sort of had. "We were pretending that I'd met a mysterious young man and he danced with me, and you'll never guess what happened next!"

"Yer - you're right," Nell said. "But I'm guessing you're gonna tell me."

Anything to get her to stop singing.
