The Roof; Friday Evening [09/21].
Truth be told, Prompto was a little afraid of the dark, which might make it seem a little weird that he'd go up to the roof that evening, as the darkness was just settling in, but there was one thing he'd come to realize about this place, something he should have figured with it not even being on Eos or anything, and that was something he found a little unbelievable and absolutely amazing.
This place had no daemons.
He'd practically ran back to the dorms through the streets of Fandom that first time after his shift at the C.I.C. was over. Sure, the streets were lit well enough, but way out here, without any walls to protect him, he had no idea what to expect. He took his time a little more earlier this week, no one had mentioned anything about being caught in the dark late at night, could this place really not have any?
He figured the roof would be a great place to really scope out any dark places to avoid; if it turned out to be unsafe, he could duck back inside quickly enough, no problem. And if everything was fine, if his theory was right, then he'd get to spend the evening doing something he'd never imagined himself able to do: kick back and look up into a night sky full of stars.
"Amazing!"
It was the little things in life, right?

Since he knew that still didn't really answer Lana's question very well, Prompto pulled out her phone and pulled up a picture to show her. "That's me and my buddy Noctis, it's kind of an old picture," only a year, really, but of course he still had it, "and those things around our necks are ties, his is the blue, mine's the green." He grinned a little. "I can already hear our homeroom teacher yelling at us because I assure you, we are not wearing them according to the dress code. They look way cooler like that, though."

"How regrettable are we talking?" he had to wonder, giving her a suspicious side-eye before smirking and thumbing through his phone again. "On a scale of....Noctis in a chocobo hat," he turned the phone to show another picture, "oooor...." Scroll scroll scroll, "Noctis in this one?"
Ladies and gentlemen, the Crown Prince of Lucis.
...Prompto would let Lana determine which side of the scale was which. Shame they had yet to unlock the Cup Noodle hat, too.

Anything Prompto's imagination could come up with was probably not nearly wild enough.

And he hadn't even seen real daemons yet.
"Larger, pointier," he repeated, narrowing his eyes to picture it again, but just shook his head. "I think I'm just going to have to see these regrettable hats in person some day. You just wear them casually, or are they, like, for special events and stuff?"

Prompto was going to hate it!
"And I'll do the same for you if you ever get to Insomnia, so long as you promise not to be too disappointed in the lack of regrettable hats."

"It's a deal," Lana said in return. "I'll try to restrain my disappointment."
