Second floor common room, Sunday afternoon/evening

Lana got back from the library and went into the common room to get some tea.

And stopped.

There were a number of pizzas on the tables around the room, still hot, with nobody around them. By the time she'd made her tea and found something to watch on the television (some documentary about spying during World War II), there was still nobody there, so she shrugged and took a piece.

Apparently tonight was a pizza night?

"I didn't order anything," Lana protested. "It was all just...here."

"I'd say I'm surprised, but I'm really not at this point," she said, nodding towards the pizza. "Do you mind?"

Because hey, dinner.

"Not at all, please," Lana waved her at it, "help yourself. It's not as though it's even mine except by virtue of finding it first. And it's all safe; I checked."

"You know, it never once occurred to me to do that?" Sabine asked, taking a seat where she could easily grab a slice.

"You learn that lesson fast in the Sith Academy," Lana said. "It's a habit it's best not to grow out of."

THAT SCHOOL.

"On the plus side, I don't think there's anybody currently in the dorms who'd actually tamper with the food," she said, and frowned. "Maybe. I haven't met a lot of the new kids."

"Hopefully not," Lana agreed. "But when I go home, there's no telling, and this island is odd often enough, so I'll keep in the habit."

"...Good point." It sounded like an exhausting way to go about it, but if Lana was fine with it... "You haven't gone back at all yet, have you?"

"Not yet," Lana said. "Darth Vowrawn visited for Parents' Weekend, though, and I have got my holocomm."

"Do you want to go back?" she wondered. "Just to visit, or anything?"

Lana thought about it. "Sometimes a little. I'm enjoying it here, though. There's so much to learn."

"Anything you're looking forward to learning more about?" Sabine asked.

[unusual_sith]

"All of my classes, really," Lana said. "Earth religions, being someone else, the culture one, and...well, I'm interested in diplomacy, but more interested in how a Jedi does diplomacy." Because Anakin was totally typical, right? "I can't believe I'm taking classes from two Jedi. What about you?"

"I keep ending up in Aphra's class somehow," she said, "and then I have the science classes, arts and crafts, and culture. I've been promised shooting there."

"In Culture?" Lana asked.

[seriesofbaddecisions]

"It should be a nice surprise when we see how he figures out how to work that in," Sabine said.

Lana snorted. "I can't wait."
