Second floor common room, Sunday afternoon/evening
Lana got back from the library and went into the common room to get some tea.
And stopped.
There were a number of pizzas on the tables around the room, still hot, with nobody around them. By the time she'd made her tea and found something to watch on the television (some documentary about spying during World War II), there was still nobody there, so she shrugged and took a piece.
Apparently tonight was a pizza night?

She knew enough to know that, whoever had the pizza, there was likely more than enough to share, but she wasn't exactly expecting to find that much to share, there, either.
"Pizza party?" she guessed.

That thought didn't seem to be stopping her from taking a chance with it now.

Not that that had ever happened to her.

even if the player forgets to mention it," Lana said. "You never know."no subject

Because hey, dinner.

"How was your break?" she then asked. Talking about her own wasn't a thought she particularly relished, but she figured making small talk was a step above just awkwardly eating pizza and contemplating the ease of poisoning some of your peers.

Congratulations, Fandom; you managed to chalk at least one point up over California in that respect.
She took a bite, then offered her roommate a faint smile. "Hey, Sabine," she said, in the somewhat sheepish tone of someone who, considering they lived together, she hadn't really talked to much since getting back, but, to be fair, she'd been sort of avoiding talking to anyone.

Because they hadn't talked much.

"On the plus side, I don't think there's anybody currently in the dorms who'd actually tamper with the food," she said, and frowned. "Maybe. I haven't met a lot of the new kids."

She didn't know him well, that was true, but it was kind of hard not to at least know Sidon.

Which was...a little ironic, considering hardly any of them were there at the home because they wanted to be...

But not Astrid, of course. Her and her fierce Nordic Viking blood.

"Are you listing that as a positive or a negative aspect of snow?"

Astrid's brows lifted. "What, you mean, like, fighting them? Outrunning them?....Chasing them?"
It took all kinds around here, really, that much she couldn't exactly forget.

And sighed, shaking her head.

"You know that last part's going to need a little more clarification, right?" Astrid asked, just in case Sabine didn't know. "How does dancing defeat snow monsters?"
