Second floor common room- Wednesday evening

After last week's trip home (or at least to some version of it), Sabine was feeling way better about things, and had also spent most of her free time since in her warehouse. By today, she felt like she should at least get out a bit, even if it was just to the common room.

She'd long ago figured out that if you ordered food, they'd send too much. So today when she placed her order for Chinese food, she got way too much on purpose, just to see what would happen. It wasn't like she knew what everything was yet anyway.

The delivery guy showed up with half the order, and they forgot the egg rolls.

Anyway, have some food, there's still plenty.

“Either you were really that hungry, or you just wanted to see how much they’d send you,” Keyleth guessed. “Please tell me it wasn’t the first thing?”

“No, this is definitely new,” Keyleth said, on to the mixed vegetables now, “but it all smells really good. I guess this was part of the new experiences my father thought I’d get here. Or maybe not, but I don’t mind. It’ll be an adventure! Just a really safe one.”

She paused and looked at the orange chicken, which she wouldn’t even begin to recognize as chicken in that form.

“I think?”

"I believe you," Keyleth said, then looked mildly horrified. "Did it sound like I didn't? Because I do. It's just a lot of new things to take in all at once, you know? Wow, so many choices."

It was a few years away from the time that Scanlan would be able to create that magical mansion where the invisible servants wouldn't know how to make anything but chicken, so she wasn't in danger of being tired of it yet.

"Sure. Thanks." Keyleth smiled at her. "I do want to try everything, but let's just start with one thing at a time, right?"

". . . usually?" She had to ask, okay? )"Do people take it sometimes, or does it just get up and walk away on its own?"

Given how long food stayed in there it probably could.

"Or do we even know? Maybe it's a mystery."

Keyleth took a breath, tilted her head, and let out a drawn-out, squeaky, "Ehhhhhhhhhhhhhh."

Then she blinked and shook her head, laughing. "That's so weird. And kind of random, but also not. Was it at least a good party?"

"Oh, wow. I've never played a drinking game," said Keyleth, totally unaware that what she'd just said could have been a round of said game. "That sounds like a really cool thing to do."

Some lessons could only be learned hands on. Like Keyleth's occasionally disastrously bad alcohol tolerance.

"So I should just keep checking the common rooms then, I guess?" She smiled, bright and dorky. "Only way to really find out!"
