Second floor common room- Wednesday evening
Sabine didn't really veg. Usually she had something to do instead of just sitting in front of the TV, but every once in a while she just felt like it. The plan for tonight was to sit back, make some popcorn, and find something dumb to watch, like a normal teenager.
Step two was where things got iffy. She knew she put popcorn in the microwave, but when she opened the door again, what she got was a little plate of mini cupcakes.
At this point she figured she'd get the same result but decided to try again just in case, and this time got a bowl (that she had not put in there) of caramel (which was not correct) popcorn (yes good).
"I don't get it," she said, and took both... desserts? to put on the table for people to take while channel surfing.
[Idk what's with me this week. Open!]

That was... not a normal thing to be able to say that casually.
"How about you?"

"Thursdays are the only day I really can't get away."

She was a nerd sometimes. Sorry, Sabine.

At least until she'd been really embarrassed or said something she shouldn't.

"Yeah, I'm sure it wouldn't do anything like that."
Yes it would.

". . . I really don't like that long moment of silence there." Keyleth . . . maybe facepalmed. Lightly, but still. "I'm trying to give it the benefit of the doubt here, but I'm suddenly not so sure."

Yet, Sabine. Yet.

If it was any consolation, this was nothing on the grudge she was going to hold against Raishan in a few years.
"Oh, you know," she said, a little high-pitched like she was trying just a touch too hard to stay nonchalant. "Fine, really. Nothing out of the ordinary, at least for this place. Have you tried the cupcakes yet?"

She hesitated. "Are you okay?"
