Second floor common room- Monday evening

Sabine had just wanted dinner, and she couldn't find the leftovers she'd stashed in the fridge. Maybe someone else didn't know what the starbird symbol on her stuff meant, or maybe a gremlin stole it, or maybe someone just pushed it waaaay back there somewhere.

Anyway, this had led to a search of the fridge, and the freezer since she might as well, and at this point it was something of an excavation.

She had a trash bag and was tossing the things that looked just so expired, unrecognizable, or downright evil. At one point she pulled out a container and studied the label, asking, "Who's Rory Gilmore?"

"...I say we burn it." Look, he'd get someone on board with this plan.

"We're not burning it." Even if she was so tempted. "Because I don't know what would be released into the air if we did."

"Dark spirits?" That was his bet.

"I was thinking more like toxins, but I'm not ruling out anything," Sabine admitted.

"Same thing," he decided, looking over her shoulder into the fridge.

Sabine helpfully handed him a carton of Chinese food. "If it's gross, toss it."

He sniffed it like the idiot without self-preservation instincts, then coughed. "Bad. It's bad," Trevor wheezed, tossing it in the bin.

"Why do we live like this?" she wondered.

[crack_that_whip]

"Because we're all idiots?" And he was never stealing food from this fridge again.

"I think I'm agreeing with you," Sabine said, eyeing the condiments on the door. "At least we'll never let it get this bad again."

LOL okay.

Give them a month.

"We could blame the extra food that ends up being sent here," Trevor suggested.

Sabine pulled out another carton for him to check. "Oh, I really am."

She'd order something later this week, probably.

He'd totally do the same.

Trevor showed a little more caution with this check at least. "Still good," he decided, going for silverware to eat it.

You know. Even though he gagged at the last thing.

Sabine just stared at him with her jaw slightly dropped.

"Really?"

"What?" he asked, mouth full. "I'm hungry!"

It was the magic of being a teenage boy, Sabine.
