Third Floor Common Room; Monday Morning [09/30].
Well, now, that was an exciting weekend. It wasn't every day that a simple Letterkenny farmboy found himself on the edges of creatin' what he could only imagine would be quite the international incident. And Wayne found he didn't really much care for excitement, anyway, so, while he really was going to miss having Katy around, he was mostly just glad to have things go back to normal again.
Normal fer this place, anywhey.
He got up a little extra early this morning, too, jus' in case he had to go and beat Nina to the punch, not realizing that it wouldn't even be an issue this week. Still, he was glad to see the common room empty when he got there, and he set to the task of getting breakfast started. Because Katy'd mentioned it, he even thought of doing French toast, since apparently Nina made her some (and it had involved cabbage!), but everyone knew French toast was just a waste of time, so fuck all that. He was sticking with the standards: pancakes, eggs, bacon, fruit, so on, so forth. And he had something to do, and it was productive, and so he was feeling pretty alright.

"Wait, it's for sharing?" he asked, his face brightening up with that surprise, as his eyebrows bounced up. "Cool, man! I --" And then the squinting came. "Wait, there's not like a catch, is there?"
no subject
"No catch!" said Wayne, perhaps a bit gruffly over his disapproval of this small kernal of doubt that seemed to be spreading over the idea that a man couldn't just do something charitable for the mere sake of being charitable. "It's just tradition! You can help clean up afterwards if it makes ya feel better, but it's just breakfast fer the sake of havin' breakfast, that's it."

And he just didn't have that kind of time on his hands this morning!

Well, not unless it was earned and-or deserved, but that was usually resserved for after Wayne knew a person long enough to actually be disappointed enough in them to lecture them.
"You can even just take it and run, fer all I care, I don't give a fuck."
Jus' so long as you weren't insinuating he did it for ulterior motives.

"Thanks, man," he said, because he was pretty sure that had gotten lost in his display of paranoia. "Appreciate it. Probably won't even run away with it, just 'cause I'm awake early for once."

He wasn't fussed about who called him by a nickname, and some people in the past had found his full name inconvenient to say, somehow, so.
"Hi."

And that was about it.
Conversation was very rarely considered one of Wayne's strong suits.

He could just eat in silence until, it was likely, he'd be in danger of being late for class.
