Third Floor Common Room; Monday Morning [09/30].
Well, now, that was an exciting weekend. It wasn't every day that a simple Letterkenny farmboy found himself on the edges of creatin' what he could only imagine would be quite the international incident. And Wayne found he didn't really much care for excitement, anyway, so, while he really was going to miss having Katy around, he was mostly just glad to have things go back to normal again.
Normal fer this place, anywhey.
He got up a little extra early this morning, too, jus' in case he had to go and beat Nina to the punch, not realizing that it wouldn't even be an issue this week. Still, he was glad to see the common room empty when he got there, and he set to the task of getting breakfast started. Because Katy'd mentioned it, he even thought of doing French toast, since apparently Nina made her some (and it had involved cabbage!), but everyone knew French toast was just a waste of time, so fuck all that. He was sticking with the standards: pancakes, eggs, bacon, fruit, so on, so forth. And he had something to do, and it was productive, and so he was feeling pretty alright.

"I'll be sure to thank you personally when I'm holding some priceless relic that I've dug out of the muck," Vette decided, nodding solemnly.

"Apologies in advance," Wayne added, with a nod, "if it winds up bein' cursed."
Because...this island.

"Hey, curses are all part of the territory," Vette replied, shrugging. "That's how I wound up here in the first place, after all."
Well. She assumed.

Though, truth be told, ever since he got back from his little misstep back to Letterkenny, he wasn't actually minding being here pretty much at all outside the utter lack of chorin' to be had.
Give or take a few twerpy kings.

Vette considered that for a moment, lips faintly pursed.
"Sounds nice," she decided. "Where do I sign up for a very insistent uncle?"

He considered possibly offering up his, but, even for all his insisting that Wayne got out of Letterkenny for while, Uncle Eddie was a real great guy. A real fuckin'g reat guy.

"Same with sisters, huh?" Vette's smile was a little wry. "Yours seemed nice enough, though. I think maybe you're both pretty lucky, there."

"Once she got over the initial 'oh hey, an alien' excitement, she was pretty fun," Vette decided, grinning a bit. "I wouldn't mind hanging out with her some more. You should talk her into coming here, Wayne."
They'd be menaces, it'd be terrible for all involved.
