Dorm Room, Sunday Morning

Trevor was totally getting a hang of this place. He knew how to use a toaster now, he knew that there was food in the fridges. Also what fridges were. So, you know. Doin' just fine.

But the highlight of it all was finding out that there was a tree on the roof that had pillows as fruit. Made about as much sense as anything else this weekend, so there he was picking aaaall the pillows for what might end up being a pillow fort once he got them all inside.

Living the dream.

"I don't shout," she insisted. "Shouting isn't stealthy."

"Why would you be stealthy?" Trevor asked, giving her a suspicious look.

"For war," Sabine told him. "Until, boom! You get the enemy."

Mandalorians, man.

[crack_that_whip]

"You're, like, four." He doubted your stealth abilities, Sabine.

"Five, and I'm great at stealth."

...For a five-year-old.

"Didn't sneak up on me." An old, wise ten year old.

"I wasn't trying to."

So there.

"Why not?" Trevor. Trevor, why argue this?

"Because I wanted to know about pillows," Sabine sighed.

[crack_that_whip]

Trevor sighed, seeming to realize this was a lost cause. "Do you want to help?"

"Maybe. You didn't say why you're doing it," she pointed out.

She really did want to pull pillows down, though.

"I'm going to build a fort." Very defensible.

"Oh! I'm good at forts!" said the little tiny warrior baby.

[crack_that_whip]

They were totally going to build the best one ever. "Then you can carry some of the pillows."

She immediately went to find some pillows and start picking them up.

"We'll make it super for-ti-fied!"

She knew bigger words, pronouncing them correctly was still a little new.

[crack_that_whip]

"Maybe we should find some blankets too," he suggested, smiling at all that. Just all that.

"...Is there a blanket tree?"

It still didn't make sense, but she was willing to go with it.

"How about you look?" While he kept an eye on her. Just in case something happened.

Babysitting!

She started wandering through the garden, arms still full of pillows.

"There's a lot of spiky plants here," she said.

[crack_that_whip]

"Don't touch them!" That was sure to backfire, huh?

"I know! I'm not wearing armor!"

She was smart, okay.

[crack_that_whip]

"...what?" Mandalorians were weird, huh?

[seriesofbaddecisions]

"Mandalorians wear armor. But I'm not big enough for it yet, so I'm not gonna touch things that hurt me."

Mandalorians were weird, yes.

[crack_that_whip]

"Mandalorian?" he asked slowly. "Is that a sort of knight?"

"Mandalorians are my people," she explained.
