Fourth Floor Common Room; Sunday Afternoon [11/24].
When Sidon woke up that morning, his tank runneth over...quite literally, although thankfully not with water, but instead...with fish! He wasn't sure exactly what had happened, beyond perhaps the island being in one of its odd yet generous moods, but there was far more fish that he himself could even eat. Not wanting to let such a bounty go to waste, then, he headed down to the common room to at least prepare some of it to be refrigerated or frozen for later consumption.
Only to discover that the bounty had extended to the common room, as well, only in the form of copious amounts of rice and seaweed.
Well, clearly, this fortitious combination of items called for one thing and one thing alone: an impromptu sushi-making party!
Sidon quickly found his phone and sent a text to anyone he thought might be interested, which could very well have been entirely all of his contacts in his phone:
It appears as though we are full up on all the wonderful components to making an excellent spread of fresh and exquisite sushi! Come and join me in the fourth floor common room if you desire to assist and/or partake in this gloriously delicious undertaking!
If anything, at least Sidon had the firm knowledge in knowing he'd at least eat well for the next couple of days, but this much fish was clearly meant to be shared!
[[ IDK. Come save me from work-related ennui...which may randomly turn in work-related SP. If you want to have received a text, you did! Or just come wandering in, that's good, too! Either way, it's oooopeeennnn! ]]

Nina beamed at her.
"How are you, like, going to make your sushi?????????????????????"

"I probably haven't had enough of it before," Sabine admitted. "I might just throw some things together and see if I like it. Name it after myself."
no subject
"Sabinshimi???????????????????" she suggested, giggling. "Though, like, that's more sashimi.......... hm........ Wreushi!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Nina, what.

But she'd thought better of you than that, Sabine!

And the accompanying thundering up two flights of steps as she burst into the fourth floor common room beaming.
"Good afternooooooooooooon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm ready to party!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

(Not that he wouldn't have been prepared otherwise, of course!)
"Nina!" he declared brightly. "Magnificent! The more, the merrier! All this fish certainly isn't going to sushi itself!"
Well, around here, it could, but it wasn't!

..............................
"I don't know that I would trust sushi that had sushi'd itself," she ventured, after a moment of complete startlement.

A delightful, tasty thing!

Otherwise she was just going to go dig out the wok and the pot and toss a fish into it and that was all she needed to make sushi.
... no matter how little sense cooking fish to make sushi made.

"I've honestly never made it myself," another admission with a laugh, "as I tend to forgo the rice and seaweed in my own preferred preparations, but, I figured, since we have such an immense bounty, we might as well try! I rather think you just spread the rice over the seaweed, place the fish, and then roll it? But I'd be curious to see how you would make it, Nina! There's certainly enough that we should be able to enjoy a multitude of various preparations, I should think!"
no subject
"And it's hard to, like, go wrong with it, even if it doesn't turn out quite right, in this case, I should think................," she mused, "since even if it doesn't look right, the ingredients used should still make it taste fine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
