Second Floor Common Room; Thursday Evening [02/13].

It was time for Tisarwat's first party here, and it was long overdue, really, but she felt pretty confident about it. Something about it felt like justEarth-style party rather than a Radchaai one. She was glad she managed to enlist the help of Nina and Sabine, though. Thanks to Nina, the word had definitely gone out, and, thanks to Sabine, the decorations for the party were abstract and classy, only a little suggestive (because pulling off something not suggestive this week would be near impossible!) and on theme (since apparently there was a holiday this weekend?) without being obvious. There were even lights strung up across the ceiling, set off against soft black fabric, to resemble a romantic and starry night sky. Plenty of food and drinks (mostly finger food, unfortunately, much to Tisarwat's chagrin, but, again, Earth-style party), there would be games later, it was really all ready to go!

Almost. Tisarwat had brought with her one final touch, a large bowl that she set on a stand right by the door, filled with gloves of all sizes and colors and styles, and a sign to go along with it that boldly declared: GLOVES OPTIONAL.

Oh, the scandal!

Tisarwat herself, of course, would be wearing gloves, thank you very much (unless, perhaps, a situation arose where she wouldn't be, *ahem*. She was more than delighted to be reaping the benefits of this planet's uncivilized degeneracy, but she was a little less willing to jump into actively participating in it herself. What she was not wearing, though, was her uniform, opting to go for a sleek black sleeveless sut cut in a feminine style.

She triple checked to make sure everything was ready, and it was, so now, she supposed, she just waited for everyone to arrive.

Because you know you want to! Don't listen to that small voice in your head that may be telling you this is a bad idea! Listen to the one in your head that's telling you it is a very, very, very good idea, because pretty people + alcohol + debauchery = niiiice.

Sabine probably would have made it down here even if she hadn't gotten roped into helping with it. It was an incredibly bad idea, but the last time something like this happened it had been kind of a good thing, if you asked her. So she could just show up. See what happened.

"Sabine!" Of course Tisarwat would have to come over and show her appreciation to one of her fellow planners for this party. Especially the one that kind of got a little roped into it via hearsay and muddled communitation. "These decorations were a stroke of genius. The whole common room looks practically transformed!"

It was hard to miss Sidon when he entered a room on any given day, but it was probably going to be near impossible to miss an entrance like this. He had been looking forward to this ever since Prompto approached him with the idea and they decided (or, rather, Sidon decided and convinced Prompto, but Sidon himself was certain it had been a joint effort!) to both be Cupid for the party!

"Behold!" said Sidon as he entered, approrpiately dressed (or, rather, barely dressed, although, to be fair, that was more dressed that Sidon usually was) in a very small white skirt with matching sash and a pair of wings, as well as his bow. No arrows, though, as that seemed a bit dangerous. "It is I, Cupid! With my compatriot....Other Cupid! Ready to sling my...invisible arrows of true love to spark romance in the hearts of all I strike down!"

He...may have been enjoying this quite a bit, yes.

"And also, to party! Fantastic! What an absolutely marvelous night it shall be!"

Gods, what Prompto wouldn't give for even an ounce of Sidon's confidence as the two of them came in today, both of them dressed as Cupid, with an all-too-tiny white skirt, a sash across his very bare chest, and wings on his back. He was also practically slathered in gold glitter, and was carrying with him two prop guns painted very pink and sparkly and covered in hearts.

And he was regretting everything and he kind of wanted to just crawl under the snack table and die, but then he'd look up at his Cupid compatriot, who would flash that stupid toothy smile of his and give him a wink, and his knees pretty much turned to jello and he forgot for at least a little bit what he was feeling so embarrassed about.

Stupid. Sexy. Shark prince!!!

Nina, like, honestly wasn't sure who'd done more to talk her into her dress, between Miss Brooke and Astrid but, like, here she was wearing it and feeling like, really, couldn't it be just a little longer...

And yet she knew she looked good in it...

And, wow, the common room had turned out looking quite nice indeed, hadn't it? Or maybe that was just all the hot people in it...

Janet didn't really make it to the parties much. But it seemed like the thing to do, and at least she could look at pretty people and have drinks she wasn't paying for. Kind of sounded like a win/win.

When Astrid told Nina yesterday that she wanted something different, she wasn't kidding. She didn't think she could have wound up with something as far removed from all theh soft, preppy, classic-Hollywood, angora sweater set aesthetic she'd adopted while under Claire Richards' doting designs.

But what surprised her the most as she came into the common room for this party was how confident she felt in all that black lace and fake leather, the sequins and the gold. Like that time she'd died her hair red on a whim. She felt different; she felt transformed. Maybe this whole time, it wasn't a ghost she needed to be, but a chameleon, changing its skin to something else. It wouldn't be the first time, after all; survival was about change, it was about adaptability.

There was still a knot of nervousness in her stomach, though, but she was trying to ignore it, for at least one night, anyway.

Wayne had some very strong views about Valentine's Day, and none of 'em were good, and he was thinking he'd much rather be spending time with just one person at the moment, but all three of the people planning this ill-informed party were friends of Wayne. Not only that, but they were all three of 'em regular breakfast goers, and so he felt he almost owed it to them to be there fer...moral support.

Also, Tisarwat asked him to provide the Puppers. An' when a friend asked for help, you helped 'em.

But if anyone thought he'd be doin' much else other than standing by a wall with his arms folded in front of him except in the case of when he'd be sipping from said Puppers (especially one Prompto and Sidon came in), then they clearly didn't know Wayne.

This was a terrible idea. Mae was barely fit for general consumption on a good day, and today was not one of those.

This did not stop her.

She sifted through the gloves and eventually even found a pair that looked like they would fit. The idea of wearing them seemed elegant and kind of fun, until she actually put them on her hands and just felt tacky and dumb.

"They should totally be fingerless," she muttered. Oh well.

Well, Owen enjoyed a good party, especially one his girlfriend (he had a girlfriend!) was involved in.

Ulysses couldn't decide whether this was the best idea or the worst idea. But he knew he the ideas where he couldn't make up his mind about that were generally the ones he went with, so...

Why fight fate, right? Or something. Whatever, point was, he was here now, and predictably wearing something garish and hipstery that he hadn't buttoned all the way up.

He was also eyeing the glove bowl and the accompanying sign with some faint confusion-slash-curiosity.

In many African nations, red was used as a funeral color, so Shuri was trying not to look too freaked out by all the red everywhere.

She, of course, wasn't wearing any, but that didn't mean she was playing it safe. In fact, Future!Shuri would kiiiinda want to burn the dress for how immodest it was.

Today!Shuri didn't care, though. She looked awesome. "Hello, everyone!"

Grog didn't understand much about Valentine's Day, did not know how to dress up, and was getting increasingly more uncomfortable as this week went on. But, he'd heard something about a party, so he was at least going to stop by to see what was going on. Enjoy your view of a shirtless goliath, folks!

She hadn't dressed up for the occasion, though; she was just in a grey tunic and leggings.

Well, okay, it was a fairly low-cut tunic. Things had happened last time that she wouldn't mind happening again, really.

Food and Drinks - 02/13.

Yes, unfortunately, due to the...style of the party, most of the food is of the expected moddable variety and mostly finger foods like chips and pizza and veggie platters.

Tisarwat sort of felt the food was just there to be there, though, since the real star of the food and drink tables would be the alcohol. She had two bottles of very fine arrack from home that she'd been saving for a special occasion like this, and since two bottles of arrack wouldn't last long, she had also gotten Wayne involved and put him in charge of providing plenty of that beer he always brought with him to parties for everything, plus he also had some of that whiskey he always brought with him, too, though there were also sodas and waters for anyone who wouldn't want to go for any of the harder stuff.

And tea. Yes, of course there was tea, and Tisarwat was about to discover that whiskey actually went very well with tea...

A true classic and a personal fave! Everyone takes turns sharing something they they've never done before, and anyone in the game who has done that thing must take a drink! It's a good way to suss out what sort of secrets your friends might be holding as well as take easy hits on them to get them drunker faster!

Spin the Bottle - 02/13.

The official narrative for this is that someone *cough*Prompto*cough* decided to use 'I've never played spin the bottle' as one of their 'I Never's, thus inspiring the need for that to be immediately fixed, but, come on, there's a bunch of teenagers and alcohol at a party on sex pollen week. It'll probably come up naturally about a billion times.
