The Roof | Sunday Evening Onwards
Nina had… possibly… gone a bit (okay a lot) all out for this party.
It was just that once she'd started looking up ideas she just couldn't help but get carried away. Knowing Wayne, she'd been incredibly restrained in the use of glitter—there was still bits of it, here and there, but she'd kept in minimal—instead choosing to use magic to emphasize the fact that this party might be taking place on the dorm roof but… really… they were all out in the bush.
It was probably best to not ask how much work it had taken her to magic up the carpet of grasses and the way trees stood along the edges of the roof against all defiance of how the roof usually was. The bonfire that crackled merrily in the center of the roof was sheer perfection, the absolute pinnacle of a bonfire.
And, importantly, it wasn't going to burn anything that it shouldn't. It tossed off plenty of heat and light and you could make s'mores in it—she'd made one, already, to test—just fine, but if you walked through it all that was going to happen was you'd be incredibly toasty warm.
Lawn chairs and plaid (and only plaid) blankets and cushions abound, scattered amongst the grass and underneath the branches of the trees that most definitely had not been there earlier in the day.
The most glittery thing was the banner she'd put on the greenhouse wall that read, in bright, sparkly letters:
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, WAYNE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
She hadn't been able to resist.
[OCD is up! Party ON! And the fact that there's booze at this party is NFB, please!]

Arrive & Mingle
Re: Arrive & Mingle
Then again, it was Nina. It wouldn't be her if she didn't go all out. Even if it seemed like kind of a waste to go all out on #HandsOuttatheWater over there.
Re: Arrive & Mingle
So good luck, there, Prompto.
"Promptoooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
But there was an incoming sister-hug.
Re: Arrive & Mingle
Maaaaybe he'd go ahead and wait to see how she was doing after her class tomorrow before giving her too hard of a time. It was a party, after all, and she was probably feeling pretty proud of herself and he wouldn't want to kill that nice buzz for her.

Which lead to...a pretty considerable moment of confusion.
She...didn't remember it looking anything like this, but memory, she felt, was a strange and unpredictable beast.

No offense to Nina, of course. She'd clearly done a wonderful job and there may have already been tea provided, but one could never have too much tea.
And since she'd been doing a terrible job of making it to Monday morning breakfast, it was the least she could do, coming to Wayne's birthday party.
Re: Arrive & Mingle
Alas, cruel world.
"Ohmygosh, you brought tea!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That's so thoughtful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

not complete the setmiss a party! Especially none one being handled by his dear friend Nina! And he figured he and Wayne had never really been very close over the time he'd been here, but perhaps wishing him a most happy and felicitous birthday was just the thing to bridge that particular gap. While also enjoying the company of so many other great friends!"Marvelous!" he declared, upon reaching the roof and having a look at the festivities laid out before them. "What a spectacular evening for a wonderful celebration!"
Re: Arrive & Mingle
Hey, having a set completed was important!
"It's so lovely that the weather cooperated!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Otherwise, like, I'd have had to get quite stern with it!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Which wasn't exactly true. It had turned out like she'd imagined it; but she'd been uncertain if her spells would manage to portray her imagination Just Right.

[100% magical constructs! They'll look and feel normal but they're really not!]

Food & Drink & Cake
Specifically the brand Wayne favoured.
You're all drinking Puppers tonight, should you choose the alcoholic route. There's also plenty of soda and water and the like, should you choose to abstain.
But the most important thing, the absolute thing Nina was proudest of, was the cake she'd made.
It was magnificent and, yes, she'd taken a million pictures of it and the process of making it to stick up on her Insta later.
There were, also, and quite peculiarly, pancakes. For supper.
Approach the Hick Throne
The throne is a lawn chair—but wide and comfortable, not a rickety little beast like some of them—with a plaid blanket tossed over the back and a Puppers already waiting beside it, cold and ready for Wayne.
There was also a little paper crown that, yes, Nina fully expected Wayne to wear.
But if he didn't, well, she wouldn't be surprised…
[But please to be waiting for Wayne to ping in first.]
Re: Approach the Hick Throne
He'd, uhhh....he'd never had a birthday party before. Been to plenty, of course. Held one every year for his friend Dary, because it was tradition, but they weren't allowed birthday parties growin' up, and then it just felt a bit odd having one, considering...
So if his brow seemed just a bit more furrowed and he was making his way through that Puppers a bit faster than usual, well, that was why.
It should be noted, however, that he was wearing the crown. A crown was always part of Dary's Super Soft Birthday Parties, after all, so it was pert'near tradition.
