Third Floor Common Room; Monday Morning [09/14].
There was a whole new step that had been developed, recently, in Wayne's process for gettin' up and makin' breakfast to start the day. It started with him actually waking up, gettin' ready (a process that didn't take too long at all), checking radio, checking his hawkey fights, and then heading to the common room, and (this was the new part) doing a swift but thorough look around the place to check fer anything...funny. Because if there was anything funny, he wanted to make sure he got wind of it before getting into his cooking, even if the funny didn't even directly relate to the cooking itself.
Like today, there was definitely a gremlin hanging out over behind the TV, which was generally good to know, because if he hadn't done that sweep, then he could have come right out and surprised someone at an inopportune moment, and now he could at least give people the warning.
Other'n that, though, everything seemed normal, the food was all as it should be, the equipment was all right...Well, it seemed all the usual plates had been replaced with small plastic kiddy plates with cartoon characters and dividers in 'em, but if that and the gremlin were the worst of what he was getting today, Wayne wasn't going to complain!
...not too much, anywhey!

"Didn't have to do that," he said, "but it's appreciated. Fix you up a plate? Also, mind the gremlin behind the TV."

"Oh, pretty well," she nodded. "Saturday was fun, even with-" she shook her head, still not entirely sure what had been up with Julius. "And you?"

Still, his answer was a steady and solid, "Oh, not so bad!" before leading into the typical, "Fix you up a plate? and the not as typical, "Mind the gremlin behind the TV."

Because at least Jules seemed to have control of Cam. That gremlin looked sketchy.
"Hi," Miles said waving at Jules and then pointing at the TV where the gremlin was. "Don't mind me. I'm just trying to keep away from that thing."

"That's wise," Jules nodded. "I've heard they like to bite." She'd never had experience with it herself. Maybe it was the naturalist in her at work, or... maybe it was the very large predator animal who was her constant companion. Or something else entirely! Who knew.

"Good morning!" she said breezily.
Even though, truly, it had been better before she'd spotted the gremlin and the mountain lion and she'd been forced to remember that this was her life now.

"Good morning, Jules," she said, after a moment of hesitating over whether she should use her full name or her nickname. "And... Camden, good morning."
Because ignoring the mountain lion wasn't going to make it go away.
Otherwise Elli would've forgotten all about him by now.

They weren't getting breakfast now, too, right?

"Hard no!" said Wayne, with a firm look at the gremlin to let it know he didn't care.of that hurt its feelings. Then his attention shifted back to Shuri. "I think he just showed il to look menacing and remind us that he's here, as he's wont to do. On occasion."
At least, he just sort of assumed that this was same gremlin he'd seen in the common room before. But, determined to ignore it, he got to the important stuff.
"Fix you up a plate?"
