Third Floor Common Room; Monday Morning [12/14].
Wayne was in such a good mood when he looked out the window that morning before heading down to the common room to get started on breakfast that there was almost even an actually perceptible hint of a smile on his face as he stood at his usual position in front of the stove flipping pancakes and scrambling eggs. It was about time this place got some decent snow around here, and he could finally get out there and put that snowmobile he'd been working on in the scrapyard fer what felt like pert'near ages to good use!
Of course, this was all mostly because he had yet to be out in the snow, because of course there couldn't just be a nice, good snowfall 'round here without....conditions, BUT...at least he'd also get to see how that snowmobile might fare when it came to attempting to run down candy canes that seemed to think dragging people under the snow was funneh.
For now, though, still blissfully ignorant, Wayne was just going to cheerfully (well, cheerfully for Wayne, which generally meant slightly more upbeat than a solid stoic line) attend to his breakfast while looking forward to snowmobiling it up once he was done with class fer the day.

"I suppose it could be different here," Elli allowed.

And that was how, after setting aside what he was working on to go rummaging through the fridge, Elli wound up with an impromptu lesson on the seasons of Earth and its hemisphere with the help of an orange and a grape.
"So's you see," Wayne concluded, "with the sun about here, and Australia here, you get summer. And when the sun is here," the grape orbited around the orange, "over us in North America, it'll be summer here."

They complicated everything so much here!
"It's so much simpler in my world."
Where science need not apply.
