Second floor common room- Wednesday evening

This had been the strangest day Harry had had since he was here, and he'd gone to the common room to decompress. Maybe watch something. Maybe talk to people.

And what happened was he decided he was gonna get on a broom and play Quidditch in the common room sooooooo there was that.

With that, Harry pulled out his wand and said, "Lumos," and the end began to flow like a flashlight.

Why? Who knew.

Sakaki, meanwhile, sat down at the table, resting her chin in her hand, to.watch him.

She looked mildly unimpressed.

Probably because it was a neat trick, but kind of superfluous, really.

Harry looked back at her. "Did you not need that?"

"There seems to be enough light already," Sakaki pointed out, not really shifting her position and still watching.

"It is kind of a neat trick, though."

"It's not a neat trick, it's magic," Harry said, very seriously.

[kawaii_complex]

Magic might have explained Harry's little light, but could it explain why Sakaki was one lounging on the floor in a yellow bikini with one of her friends from Japan right there beside her, thrilled to be soaking up the sun in this common room?

Probably.

"Oh."

That was just as much for Harry's response as ot was for her new attire and position.

"I...see."

She didn't see at all!

"Uh," said Harry, eloquently, at two girls in bathing suits in the common room suddenly.

Her....her roommate....her boy roommate!...had just seen her in a skimpy bikini!

Sure, Sakaki was now dressed in a much more modest and comfortable turtleneck, but the damage had been done, and her shock and mortification were palpable as she was pretty sure she felt her soul just leaving her body.

How...how embarrassing!

"I didn't see anything," Harry said quickly, not looking at her, but looking like he knew this was gonna be uncomfortable.

Well, then, if he said he didn't see anything, Sakaki had no reason to believe otherwise, right?

Besides the fact that it had been pretty obvious, but she felt incredibly open to the idea that he hadn't, and stretched her arms over her head for a moment before settling back with a contented sigh.

That was a close one. What a relief!
