Second Floor Common Room- Thursday Morning

 Kurt had been doing a good bit of thinking during his off time from classes that week, so there was a lot on his mind as he made his way into the kitchen area of the common room early that morning.

Back home, he had always talked with his parents while cooking whatever big meal they were having for the day. And while his folks obviously were not here, he was still doing a lot of thinking as he started on a nice big breakfast. Might as well keep up some semblance of tradition right?

And so, if anyone was awake, they were likely soon to be greeted with the fragrant aromas of a big breakfast, because if he was going to be making breakfast, Kurt figured he might as well go all out and make enough for whoever wanted to stop in for a some food options that were a bit better than sugary cereal or poptarts.

Kurt got to work on the spread and soon there was plenty of bacon, hash browns, eggs, and toast for whoever wanted some.

'New family' sort of gave Astrid a little twinge of...something; she wasn't quite sure what, except that it was a little painful, but nothing she was going to let herself focus on.

"It'd be kind of a jerk move," she pointed out, "if I let you feed me and then said I would mind if you did, wouldn't it?"

Kurt nodded and sat down and started in on the food. After a few bites he paused and nodded back towards the kitchen.

"Oh and there's a fresh pot of coffee and I'm pretty sure I saw milk and orange juice in the fridge still."

"I'm pretty sure," Astrid said with a faint grin, "there's almost always milk and orange juice in the fridge. But just wait until one day when the carton of eggs you bough mysteriously turns into plastic ones or all your ham turns out green."

She took a bite, thinking the coffee did sound good, but she was in no rush to get up and get some.
