Second Floor Common Room - Saturday Evening
Guillermo had made arrangements yesterday to show Libby his favourite movie ever, Dialogue with a Dhampire and he had offered to set everything up in the common room. He already owned the movie so all he had to do was put that in the player and then it was just a matter of setting up the snacks and making sure there would definitely be enough.
When he had went into town yesterday to give Graham his empanadas, Guillermo had also stopped at the store to pick up a vast variety of different snacks - mostly popcorn and chips but he had also gotten some chocolate, so he could make this a proper movie night for Libby, he was definitely excited about being able to show his favourite movie to his friend and be able to hang out more, It had felt like he hadn’t done that in ages so he was definitely determined to make up for it now.
[Guillermo is here for Libby but it’s an open common room, feel free to stop by for movie night! Up early for timezones!]

But she was there, as promised, bearing beverages as promised, too.
So she popped her head in through the door, grinned when she saw he was already there setting up, and then headed into the room. "Hi, Guillermo!" she said, holding up one of the two big bottles of drinks she'd brought with her. "I hope you like fruit punch."
Yes, she got fruit punch because it was a vampire movie and she thought she was funny.
There was also lemonade, though, too, because it was summer and summer always meant lemonade and she still really didn't like soda pop very much.

"I should get some cups," she noted, "for the drinks, right?"

So she was glad to be momentarily distracted by finding the cups and, out of instinctual habit more than anything else, immediately started to pour some of the fruit punch into a cup for Guillermo to hand over to him before going to pour her own and then head over to the couch with the bottle for refills.
"Well, it must be good," she commented as she poured and handed the drink over, just praying that she didn't turn out to be a liar on that one, "if you've seen it so many times and still enjoy watching it. Like books that you can always go back and reread and it's still almost as good as the first time."
Nothing would truly beat the first time reading through a new book, though.
"It's not..." She hesitated a moment, not sure if she should let her concern on this point come through. "Too scary, though, is it?"

...which was definitely going to be an...uh....experience for her, to be sure.
But she nodded a little, still a little tentative about the potential scary parts, but if it was okay for Guillermo when he was just a little kid, then it should be okay for her. And even though he'd offered to turn it off if it was too much for her (or maybe because he'd offered), she felt herself building the resolve to stick through it even if it was, and try to be brave.
"Okay," she said, and went to go find a seat on the couch, cup cradled almost protectively in both her hands and held close to her chest. "So...do we just...start?"

"We do," Guillermo grinned, "I just need to press play and then and we can start the movie, if you're ready for movie night to begin that is," he added.

He always looked forward to being able to rewatch his favourite movie, it didn't matter how many times he watched it and the fact that he got to watch it with his friend, who had never seen it before was also going to be a nice movie watching experience. He just hoped she would like the movie, he would feel bad after all this if she didn't like the movie - even though there were definitely heaps of other movies they could watch if they wanted to do movie night again.

Libby wasn't really sure if she was supposed to just keep quiet and watch the movie in silence the whole time--it seemed rude to do otherwise, but also, that didn't make for a very good interactive experience, to just sit there pretty much ignoring the other person for such a long period of time. Maybe that was why Zo never suggested movies, because they couldn't go two seconds without babbling at each other, but any concern about that went right out the window when the names of the actors started showing up over the opening shots and she recognized one of them.
"Oh! That's the one you said you liked, right, Guillermo?" she asked. "Antonio Banderas?"

“It is,” Guillermo said excitedly, “he was the first vampire I ever saw who looked like me,” he told her, “it’s why I fell in love with all things vampires to begin with,”
Even though he had told Kurt that he wanted nothing more than to be turned into a vampire himself one day, he didn’t know if Libby would think that fact would be as cool though so he decided to not reveal it for now.

In fact, she thought about asking Guillermo to point him out when he was on screen, but figured she could just spot him based on that information alone.
Imagine her disappointment when she reached the end credits without seeing a single vampire with glasses.

He'd been right, that it hadn't been too scary....tense, but not really frightening, and most of the times she felt the need to cover her eyes had nothing to with anything related to horror. But there had been so many elements about it that drew her right in, evidenced in the quiet marvel in which she watched, her fruit punch and the popcorn barely even touched, but she could really only think of one thing to say that really expressed how she felt about it the best:
"I really want to read these books."
Which was honestly one of the most complimentary things she could have had to say about a movie.

and now with the right account this timesmiled at her reaction, which he took to mean she had enjoyed the movie since he’d noticed she barely ate or drank anything.“I have the whole series if you’d like to read them,” he offered, “there’s 10 books in total” he told her, he did not realise that more books had been published after 2003.

handwaveyshopping and such. That evening when he finally was back in the dorms he happened to pass by the common room and see the set up by the TV."Oh hey Guillermo! What's going on?"

It would make sense, really! He and Guillermo were roommates, and a small part of her that had been a little unsure about all of this would feel much more comfortable with other people involved. A movie night with just herself and Guillermo seemed to be skirting dangerously close to something she should not be doing.
