With the last party they had down at the pool, Graham had made a few hints and allusions to another, second party before the start of the summer session, and, well, now was the time! After mentioning it on radio and spreading the word at the picnic and of course spreading around handwavey flyers and texts, the circle was now complete, as they met the "End of the Semester" party with a "Start of the Semester" party! And while one was underneath the dorms, this one would be on top of it!

So, of course, the roof was decked out with decorations of a very summer-y nature, since that was the semester they were heading into, with music playing to match that vibe, a few beach balls and beach umbrellas floating around, too. And, of course, a table with a lot of moddable snacks, drinks, and Graham's proudest touch: a Neapolitan style sheet cake with the words "LET'S ALL HAVE A SUN-SATIONAL SUMMER!!" written on it, and, below it, in parentheses: "(Seas the Day!)"

So come on up, make the porg intern happy, and have a good time celebrating the start of the semester with a good party, a great view, and even better friends!

In case you hadn't heard, either via the flyers that had been plastered around the dorms, the text messages sent out that morning, the radio or the announcements being made from the desk yesterday, there was a party in the dorms that day! Down by the pool, specifically! With no classes to attend to, all that was left to do was come on down and have a good time!

There were decorations! There was pizza! There were drinks in coconuts, and some music pumping, and none of them had anywhere school-related they needed to be! Time to celebrate another successful semester in the books.

Guillermo decided to start cooking for the DnD session this week and had started with making a fresh batch of empanadas and while that was cooking, he got to work on an Apple pie to get started on the pies that he would bring over on Friday.

He had been completely oblivious to the mistletoe and so far had not noticed that there was in fact mistletoe hanging on the ceiling.

Even though Guillermo normally did all of his cooking on Fridays for the DnD sessions, he was feeling inspired to cook some fresh empanadas that afternoon and he was also wearing one of his spare capes that he had kept from Friday because he had taken to wearing his cape everywhere and it was it one of the best things ever.

He was even getting better about cooking with the cape and so far he had managed to not set anything on fire as he took out one batch of empanadas out of the oven and got another ready to go in so that there would be plenty to go round.

This wasn’t his floor and Guillermo hoped that they didn’t mind that he was going to be using it at attempting his marathon empanada making quest to see if it was possible to fill an entire common room full of empanadas.

He had gotten a few supplies in town to get them started for the day’s cooking adventure and as he began to start getting things ready he couldn’t help but feel nervous as he waited for Graham.

Guillermo’s ~~handwavey~~ attempt to let Goose!Graham have a go in the bathtub had been a complete and total disaster and so he decided to try again a few days later with a smaller pool of water and set up a kiddie pool like Kurt had suggested.

He had also decided to venture outside on the deck so Graham could be outside and to hopefully make sure that this wasn’t a repeat of the bath tub incident he had made several batches of fresh empanadas to ~~bribe~~ help keep Graham from getting to startled by being outside

“See this isn’t so bad right?” Guillermo said hopefully as he watched Graham splash about in the water and tossed another empanada to him, hopefully Graham didn’t mind that the empanadas were getting slightly wet.

Guillermo had been rather distracted since the weekend and had been hiding out ~~moping~~ and trying not to think about the fact that he was apparently descended from a famous vampire hunter and he was supposed to carry on that legacy but he didn’t want to hunt down vampires, he wanted to be one.

Finally he ventured out of his room early that morning and decided to do the one thing that always distracted him and cooked. Normally he liked to cook on Fridays so he could take them to the D&D session but he decided to change things up and had taken over the kitchen to get a head start on cooking early that morning.

He decided to go for his comfort food which were empanadas and he was keeping himself busy by making a lot of them , as it turned out.

Guillermo had made arrangements yesterday to show Libby his favourite movie ever, Dialogue with a Dhampire and he had offered to set everything up in the common room. He already owned the movie so all he had to do was put that in the player and then it was just a matter of setting up the snacks and making sure there would definitely be enough.

When he had went into town yesterday to give Graham his empanadas, Guillermo had also stopped at the store to pick up a vast variety of different snacks - mostly popcorn and chips but he had also gotten some chocolate, so he could make this a proper movie night for Libby, he was definitely excited about being able to show his favourite movie to his friend and be able to hang out more, It had felt like he hadn’t done that in ages so he was definitely determined to make up for it now.

It had been a while since Guillermo had cooked anything but he had promised Graham that he would make a range of empanadas for him to try and he figured he could make a fresh batch for him and take some down for him since he had said he worked at the Magpie Emporium on Fridays.

It was nice to actually be cooking again, Guillermo needed to remember to occasionally tear himself away from the computer and video games and get in the habit of cooking and baking again.

In addition to the empanadas, he also decided to make some breakfast while he was at it and was making a fair amount of huevos rancheros in case anyone also decided to stop by and wanted something to eat.

There had been a lot going on between a full class schedule and still getting fully comfortable with the island. Kurt did very muchlook forward to the day he knew his way around enough he could really start porting around more easily. But that was still a little ways off, unfortunately.

So after walking back from morning class, and after a quick stop for some snacks and supplies, Kurt headed back to the dorm room. It was going to be a good day. He and Guillermo had a full day of goofing off, geeking out, and having fun planned, and Kurt couldn't wait!

"Picked up a few extra things on the way back" he said holding up the bags with a grin. "We should be good to go!"

For the roomie but anyone can stop by and join the geeky fun if they want!

With the current stash of leftovers in their new dorm fridge gone, Kurt made his way to the common room for something quick and easy for breakfast. He soon found some cereal in one of the cabinets and was settling down with a bowl as he sat at the table and got to work on the reading assignment for his Book and Movie class. Fortunately, it was a story he was very familiar with but he decided to challenge himself a little and give it a read in a different version than he was used to. And so there he sat with the bowl in front of him, the book held nearby securely in his tail.

This past week had been the best week of Guillermo’s life, he had a lot of cool classes and had met even cooler people, including his roommate and now that he had settled in and and he and Kurt had been decorating their dorm room, he decided to test out the kitchen facilities in the common room and with that he selected a couple of familiar recipes to try.

After making a stop in town to pick up some ingredients, he went about making enchiladas and quesadillas. He was making extra to so that there could be left overs and enough if anyone wanted to try some.

In between the cooking though, he was absolutely practicing his jazz hands since he had been very much inspired by the holiday pageant that they had watched in class yesterday and he was getting rather into it.
