Second Floor Common Room - Wednesday Morning (Before Shenanigans)
Guillermo had been rather distracted since the weekend and had been hiding out moping and trying not to think about the fact that he was apparently descended from a famous vampire hunter and he was supposed to carry on that legacy but he didn’t want to hunt down vampires, he wanted to be one.
Finally he ventured out of his room early that morning and decided to do the one thing that always distracted him and cooked. Normally he liked to cook on Fridays so he could take them to the D&D session but he decided to change things up and had taken over the kitchen to get a head start on cooking early that morning.
He decided to go for his comfort food which were empanadas and he was keeping himself busy by making a lot of them , as it turned out.

"Guillermo," Graham said, very seriously for just a head sticking through a doorway. "Are those..." There was a moment where the thrill of it seemed to really kick in, eyes even wider with anticipation, the salivation needing to be controlled, "...empanadas I smell?"

He didn’t actually remember the conversation that they’d had on the weekend or he might have been even more awkward if that was possible.
“They are!” he nodded, “I’ve just finished making up a batch and I’ve got more in the oven, there’ll be plenty to go around,” he managed a small smile at that.

(He'd been working on his regal presence, as a whole, since the weekend. No better time to start nailing that kingly gravitas down than the present!)
"That," he declared, his voice attempting to be a little deeper in his puffed out chest, but now that he was actually in empanada range, it was very quickly dropping into another pleased grin, "sounds like a good challenge!"

He also started to go rather red as he did find himself staring at Graham before he quickly tried to turn his focus back to cooking.
“I can make even more if you'd like me to," Guillermo said with a shy grin, "I've got enough to make extras,"

Oooh, maybe he could make that a royal decree! It could be a motto! He did remember that his future king self did declare empanadas to be a national food...
...and remembering that just made Graham's grin widen as his mind managed to shift to something that wasn't tasty little savory hand pies.
"Zounds, though!" he said, grinning over at Guillermo. "That weekend, huh?"
Look, he hadn't had the chance to talk to anyone about it yet! He'd moved well past the wistfully sighing and daydreaming phase and now felt ready to just about burst if he didn't start gushing toward whatever willing pair of ears would listen!

Then there was the mention of the weekend and his smile faltered a bit at that, “it … it was definitely different,” he admitted, “do you … do you remember anything from the weekend?” He ventured, he could only specifically remember the part about being related to Van Helsing but he didn’t want to make that reveal just yet.

"Of course!" he said. "I remember everything! I don't think you can be a King of Daventry and then just forget it!"
But the fact that Guillermo had asked made him frown a little with concern at the tragedy it seemed to suggest. "Why?" he asked. "Do you remember anything from the weekend?"
no subject
He hesitated, “I only remember a small part of it and I don’t know what I’m supposed to do,”
no subject
But...but! Guillermo said he remembered something, so, naturally, he had to next ask, "What do you remember?"
no subject
“I …I remember that I’m descended from Van Helsing,” and paused, realising that Graham might not be familiar with the name, “he’s a famous vampire hunter…I’m …im supposed to be a … a …vampire hunter as well,” he choked out the words.

Apparently, someone hadn't realized he'd just turned into a goose at a very crucial moment to avoid potentially dropping too many spoilers on the poor guy quite yet.

“Oh no,” he breathed, “Graham um …are you okay?”
He was having flash backs to when Kurt had turned into a sugar glider.

How had his friends turned into animals twice now in a few months?
He picked up one of the containers of empanadas and cautiously walked towards Graham not wanting to startle him, “hey do you want to take a walk back to the dorm room?”
He really hoped that Graham wasn’t about to start flying because that also seemed to be a thing, maybe he could bribe him with an empanada?
Did Goose…Geese eat empanadas?

He'd been worried, after all, that this timely goosening would have meant he would have missed out on empanadas entirely, so this was a very exciting turn of events for him!

He picked up one of the empanadas and held it out like it was almost a peace offering.

Right?
He could hopefully lure Graham out of the common room with those.
He watched Graham eat the empanada.
“It’s good, isn’t it?” he said softly, trying not to startle Graham, “there’s plenty more of them,”
