The Deck - Wednesday Late Morning

Guillermo’s handwavey attempt to let Goose!Graham have a go in the bathtub had been a complete and total disaster and so he decided to try again a few days later with a smaller pool of water and set up a kiddie pool like Kurt had suggested.

He had also decided to venture outside on the deck so Graham could be outside and to hopefully make sure that this wasn’t a repeat of the bath tub incident he had made several batches of fresh empanadas to bribe help keep Graham from getting to startled by being outside

“See this isn’t so bad right?” Guillermo said hopefully as he watched Graham splash about in the water and tossed another empanada to him, hopefully Graham didn’t mind that the empanadas were getting slightly wet.

Guillermo smiled at that and was a bit distracted by the hand on his shoulder, “I hope so, it would be fun to see what it would be like, changing into a bat and everything,” he paused, “and be a vampire as well, I’ve only ever gotten to see what it’s like wearing fangs before,” he added.

"That's a pretty good start, though, I'd say," Graham reasoned. "Fangs seem like a pretty important part of being s vampire, after all. Without them, there wouldn't be much of a....point."

....look, he hadn't been able to make a single pun all week; he was going to be a little rusty.

Maybe it was from how embarrassed he was earlier but Guillermo thought that was hilarious and he started laughing hysterically, trying to relieve some of his nervousness, “oh that was a good one,” he grinned once he had stopped laughing.

By the time Guillermo stopped laughing, Graham's grin had only gotten bigger and more pleased until it practically stretched from ear to ear, and then he was ready to hit him with a, "Fangs a lot! I thought it was pretty sharp, too, and ain't that the tooth!"

And now he was really warmed up! Even if no one deserved this kind of pun-ishment.

No sooner had Guillermo calmed down, he started laughing again and his glasses slid down his nose, “okay those were definitely great ones,” he said shyly, pushing his glasses back up his nose before they fell off.

And now it was Graham's turn to be a little sheepish, even with the happiness that came with Guillermo's laughter, still unaccustomed to having people actually appreciating his sense of humor and silly jokes. So his chuckle was both modest and a little awkward with uncertainty.

"Oh, well," he said, "vampire ones are pretty easy. Like shooting garlic into a coffin."

Guillermo giggled at that, “I still like hearing you make them,” he told Graham, feeling his cheeks start to redden again.

"Really?" Confidence boosted just that little bit more, Graham straightened proudly, squaring his shoulders. "Then I guess I'll just have to keep it up!"

Please. Like he was ever going to stop regardless.
