Second Floor Common Room, Wednesday Afternoon

Gray was struggling today. Sloth was bad enough that he'd given in to the inevitable and planned to spend the afternoon in bed, watching anime on his tablet, except...no matter what he did, his tablet would only show videos of a burning yule log. So he'd managed to drag himself into the common room to see what was on TV, only to find that it was...the yule log. On every. Single. Channel. And the effort of getting here had burned through what little energy he had left, so now he was sprawled gracelessly on the couch, staring at the flickering flames on the screen and waiting to be able to move around again.

This was fine. Everything was fine.

Gods, he was so bored.

Hopefully, the small poof of smoke and small 'bamf' sound didn't startle ya too much Gray. It was just Kurt porting in to see if the TV was working.

"Ah man, here too?" he said with a somewhat annoyed sigh. He then caught sight of Gray on the couch. "Oh hey Gray," he said still giving the TV a bit of side-eye. "Guess it's not just my phone and computer acting up today."

"Nope," Gray who was wearing a shirt despite what his icon claims said without moving his head at all, because that was just too much effort right now. Thanks, Sloth. "Hey, Kurt. How's it going?"

Kurt sighed, resigning himself to the fact that the movie he had wanted to watch was going to have to wait.. hopefully, this was just a one-day thing.

"It's going alright, other than missing my movie," he said with a mock glare and a sigh. "You doing alright? Need anything?" Kurt had been around Gray enough to know that look. "I was gonna get something from the kitchen, can I grab you anything while I'm at it?"

"I'm good," Gray told him in a sort of monotone, because inflection? Also a thing that took energy. After a beat he added, "I mean, I sort of can't move, but Sloth's gonna Sloth." Oh, look. The yule log was flickering. "Sorry about your movie."

"Eh no biggie, movie can wait," Kurt said as he flopped down onto the other couch. "Sorry Sloth decided to make today a not doing anything day." Really bad timing there.

"Could be worse," Gray said. "I mean..." pause to gather energy. "At least I made it to the couch this time."

"Very true... won't wake up with a stiff neck and sore back at least," Kurt agreed with a nod.

"That's happened so many times," Gray agreed. Wow, that log sure was still on fire, huh? "What've you been up to?" It had to be more interesting than the log.

"Been doing some training lately. Thinking I might be heading back to visit the team during the holiday break." Kurt looked over to see if Gray was still awake before asking. "You got any plans for the break?"

Oh, man, Gray wished he could manage energy right now, because internally he was vibrating with excitement about Christmas plans. "Gonna go home with Ray and see our brothers," he said. "Spend Christmas with them. Watch movies and stuff." This was bad Sloth day code for 'attendance at Gray's Christmas movie marathons was mandatory, whether anyone liked it or not.' "Ray'll make way too many cookies...and then eat them. It's great."

"That sounds like a great time. Always good to get back to see family after a time," Kurt said with a nod. "There'll be some gaming sessions with Logan and Scott for sure, so that will be fun. And I'm sure Storm, Kitty, and Rouge will try to drag some of us out for shopping and such too" he said with a groan but a fond smile all the same.
